Best grip seat cover for the money?

I bought a used bike that had a Guts Seat Cover, it looked slightly used in great shape. It's lasted 3 years riding 2x a month and is still in good shape. Grip is excellent. My friend runs MotoSeats and is ruff on things, they seem to last and he says he loves them.

GUTS ribbed has lasted over 100 hours so far!

I'm a fan of the Polisport complete seat, just bolt it on for not a great deal more than a seat cover.

It's that rubber gripper material (the tiny diamond texture type) with no ribs like the basic Guts or Selle Dalla Valle covers or othera and the new pretty firm foam is handy as it doesn't squish in as much when you grip it.

Nice to have a stock seat knocking about too or if you wanna mess with adding bumps or wings to the stocker.

Probably a minority here but Enjoy Manufacturing has been doing our seats and IMO the quality has been excellent. I usually spring for the waterproofed seams as well. We were using Guts for years and felt like their quality and fit has not been as good as years ago and every seam let a huge amount of water through. 

The best fitting value gripper seat covers I’ve ever had done were by selecting the material you want at a motor vehicle upholstery and getting them to cut and fit it. Always the option to add or cut foam in that process too.

Way better results and value in my experience. Just a matter of finding the right place.

I swapped the 1x6 treated wood seat that came on seat that came on my 2024 beta 300 RX for a guts racing.  I bought the whole seat tall foam and all.  The guts grips like fly paper.  Almost to much grip, but probably a good thing.  All the covers are about the same price if I had to guess.

Another good seat cover is Strikeseats out of Australia.  Good price and shipping is a lot faster than one would gets and not as much as you would think either.  They ship all over the world.  I have a Strikeseat on my Trail.

Onegripper as already said.... It seriously is that good.

I used the Guts cover that KTM sells for my 2023 FC250. It was much better than the stock 2023 cover, but as others noted water will seep through the cover at the seams where the ribs go through the cover. You also don't install it over your existing cover. You pull off the old cover and install the new one.

I have a motoseat cover with over 200 hours on it with no tears, a lot of the texturing is smoothed over by now but still ridiculously sticky and it must do a decent job at being waterproof because the foam is still in decent shape. 
 

if you’re not big on looks I bought a cheap “Neutron” gripper seat cover from Rocky Mountain for my 200 and it does just fine.

Guts stuff is really good quality and the service is crazy, I ordered a seat cover Monday afternoon and it was at my house Thursday, and this had to be made, as it was for a tall seat so doubtful they had it in stock. 

Looks good! I just ordered a motoseat cover. I wish I would have been able to see the colors labeled in an actual photo. It was hard for me to discern between the blues mainly light blue and tm blue. I'm guessing you have yz and light blues there? I hope their quality is as good as I have read!

The grip in one gripper or selab (both swedish brands) is far superior since they are made out of silicone. BUT they are universial and need to be cut to fit. But have you ever started using one, you can.t go back to a regular.

The foam also holds up better since the silicone covers are waterproof and don't have any seams.

The Neutron from Rocky will be your best bet value wise. Bare bones, but a decent gripper seat cover. 

I was not a fan of the Motoseat on my TM, It was too thin compared to Guts etc. 

Guts seats are awesome, just make sure your staples aren't too long and pointing too far out or you'll poke holes in the cover like I did lol 

There isn’t a great deal of difference between the top seat brands. I’ve found they’re all good and the install quality will make the biggest difference in longevity. 
 

whatever you get, make sure you buy a pneumatic stapler and take your time with the install. The harbor freight staplers are like $30 and will serve you well enough if you’re doing seats once or twice a year. If you want to use the stapler for other jobs, get a nicer one. 

Best advice  so far!  A decent air stapler will make putting a cover on fun! I've installed 100's of covers with the orginal Harbor Freight air stapler , I also have an Arrow brand that is similar. But the HF version has a smaller tip that fits into the tighter spots better. A couple drops of oil here and there and it will last years! The Arrow air stapler is around $30-$40. Also use stainless steel staples !! The regular ones will rust. On most seats I use 1/4" . The yamaha 4 stroke seats that have the extra part by the airbox, We use a longer staple on that area so it reaches deep enough to grab the harder plastic/have more friction holding the staple in.   

We have had Motoseat making covers for us for years now and our customers love them. Easier to install than the Guts covers. The Guts covers might have a bit more grip in certain conditions. The Motoseat material is more sticky, while the Guts is sharper.  Polisports full seats seem to have a softer more grippy material than Guts covers even though the texture is similar. Also I've noticed that if You have a Polisport full seat and the foam is too hard for you. Putting a motoseat cover with the ribs wil give it a softer feel.Also putting a new cover over the stock cover will destroy the stock cover. They stopped gluing the covers on the KTM seats, and most covers will fit much better without doubling them up. 

Motoseat has the best bang for the buck as far as full seats and color , ribs, accents, stripes. More options as far as looks than Guts. But Guts full seats have a ton of options for foam. taller,shorter, firmer,softer, lightweight. And the velcro option is cool if You want to be able to change back and forth with a couple different color covers.It also allows you to remove the cover and dry the seat out . Or wash the cover off of the seat. 

The texture on the Guts/polisport  can be a little harder on Your rear end if you sit a lot. 

I have installed Nstyle,ceet,SDG,decor,factory effex,flu,guts and Motoseat covers.   The Guts,Motoseat and SDG covers seem to be the most durable. Motoseat stretches a little more than SDG and Guts covers do making it easier to install without any wrinkles.We sell most of those brands listed, but we sell more Motoseat and Guts with Polisport full seats also being popular. 

Its hard to really say which cover offers the most grip. Depends on how You are wanting it to grip. I've had customers get the Motoseat made covers with the stripe and kevlar on the sides to give them  something more to grip with their knees while standing.And like I said the Motoseat material feels stickier while the Guts gets its grip from its sharp texture. Motoseat will add accent colors to the ribs so they stick up a little more. And their ribs are thicker to begin with. The accent pieces on the motoseat ribs look like they may make it harder to slide forward on the seat. But I have not had anybody complain about it being a problem.

I have much more experience with Motoseats covers. They have been doing our branded covers for years. The only complaints I've had were that the red will fade faster than some other colors with some cleaners and or sun exposure. We have been using them for close to 10 years now! and they have only gotten better to work with. 

Guts is also a great company to order from. And like Motoseat they have handled any issues quickly. We have only been selling the Guts covers for the past season. But they have grown to be very popular.

Throttle Jockey has some nice seat covers.  You can put your name as well.  HRC runs them.  I have not done much cost comparing to other brands.  But, solid colors are $45.  

It won’t hurt anything to go over the stocker.  I’ve done it multiple times.

I barely managed to get the new cover on over the foam. I don't think I could have pulled it over the old cover but I am sure you can try. There are also a lot of staples holding the old cover on right where you need to drive the new staples.
