Spoke with my Checkbook?

I know it's not a premix (still have my YZ250 for MX) so I tweaked the title.

Super hyped about this! I'm glad the KTM group produces supermoto machines straight from the factory. I encourage all to try sumo, it's a just as fun as moto in my opinion💯PXL 20230930 224946006.MP .jpg?VersionId=E2VyOHiBBQpPXL 20231001 023110253.MP

Had a blast racing SM but I never ran slicks so the pavement was definitely my worst part of the track.

How are these geared?  Good option for a "street bike" to rip around town on?

Honestly I think it's the same gearing as a normal SXF. Just different sprocket sizes. I could be wrong though.

New bikes are just rad man, never ridden super moto but that thing is sweet! Those brakes are amazing, really separates the Austrians from the rest IMO. Congrats brother, enjoy that thing!

Had to copy then enlarge that picture, Lumpy.

Thought that you had a trick, machined Swingarm on that Yamaha, as I've seen with a few SM bikes, and ala some Vertematis, but it looks like you 'continued' the Yamaha Speed Block graphics onto the swingarm.

That's sick, bet that thing absolutely rips with the kind of traction a slick tyre on pavement gives 😂

I had a drz 400sm back in the day. Loved it but my self control isn't what it needs to be to own a SM. A new street legal Supermoto is me losing my license and going to jail in physical form. Thus my current ride is a grom with knobbies. Ride it as fast as you can and can only get into so much trouble.

Congrats on the new ride but BEHAVE! 😆

Supermoto as a sport had a strange way of beginning as a Pro AMA series before amateur racing at the local level. The North East had a strong Am series called NASMOTO with a strong race schedule. The 2008 crash pretty much killed off supermoto.

I've always said street tires on a dirtbike is (almost) the most fun you can have on two wheels.

I just finished this one up for a quick rip-around-town bike. She runs hot and is awful high maintenance but boy is it worth it.

Yes it really is too bad to see it a boomin sport to basically on life support. It deserves to be big!

Badass.  I don't think I would last long with slicks on the street.  My knobbies are my limiter on the pavement and even they hook up too well sometimes  Smile
