Thanks, I have been hitting Google up and saw that it was currently 250 only.
Happy for Calvin if the team is a full factory effort.
I am not sure i understand what Yamaha is doing.
* They weaken their teams in EMX250 and MX2 (Hutten is not an improvement over kemea, and whoever is going to do emx250 isnt an improvement over Hutten)
* I don't think Kemea is an improvement over Wilvo in MXGP
* They lose Seewer & Coldenhoff and replace them with Vlaanderen (nice for Calvin & deserved, but he is not an upgrade). Obviously Geerts will move up, but its unrealistic to expect miracles from him & Yamaha loses a title contender in mx2
* They seem to have lost Gebben in the process
To me it just looks like a lot of moves & ending a bunch of relationships and at the end Yamaha is at best an outsider for a world title in '24??
A lot of assumptions here.
Kemea wasn't considered an improvement when they became the official MX2 factory team, and look at them now. If they will do better or not as Wilvo will become clear in the future, but I will give them the benefit of the doubt until then. Geerts and Renaux both know "House Kemea" very well and Vlaanderen seems to fit in any team as he's a very professional guy.
Hutten have earned their glory in the past seasons aswell. First as a Yamaha-supported team, later as the official EMX250-team (just like Kemea did a few years before them).
Seewer has been the #1 rider at Yamaha for quite a few years now, and never made it happen. He will be #2 at Kawasaki next year, so maybe a little less pressure will suit him more. But I highly doubt he will ever "make it happen". It's known Yamaha FUBAR'ed last season, so maybe Seewer didn't even wanted to stay.
Losing Gebben is a shame, but I'm actually surprised that a local dealer lasted so long with a fulltime MXGP-team over all those years. Teams with way more resources as Gebben all came and went the past decade (i.e. Suzuki or Aprilia for example), so props to them. Maybe they can become the EMX250-team as Hutten will move up a class?
As for your statement: "they weaken their teams"... Dunno man, but succession is a part of MX. Or any sport for that matter. Seewer decided to leave and Coldenhoff's best days have most probably passed. At first it seemed KTM "weakened" their MX2-team by losing Vialle and Hofer (compulsory) and replaced them with Adamo and Everts. We all know how that turned out for them.
Geerts moves to MXGP, Benistant stays in MX2 and Bonacorsi joins him. As far as I'm concerned, that's the best replacement they could do.
Guillod and Horgmo confirmed at Honda SR Motoblouz for 2024.

Kawasaki signed Seewer before Febvre so I don’t know about that #2 on the team spot. Febvre clearly wasn’t happy with that and looked around but not many good spots available..
Hopefully it will work out for Kawasaki because the last 2 years the 2nd rider been a big blow with injury or complaining about the bike (wich could be a truth to that)
Bogers most likely MXGP and British rounds for the REVO team
Seewer is one guy who hasnt missed races like ever and can win. Perfect guy for team like Kawasaki that had only Febvre last years in top10.
Who is filling Horgmo spot at FH Kawasaki??
I think Quentin Prugniere is going there
I think the results of last season have made it very clear who will be the first rider.
I still want to know who's dog Louis Vosters shot ?
Maybe Yamaha felt they were paying too much money out to support the team.
Geerts will be the surprise of MX1 next year. I wouldn't count out many podiums from him.
I think Louis will do an honest interview when the contracts are complete.
The shitshow is unreal to be honest. You couldn’t expect this from any other professional sport except motocross. I can’t understand how Yamaha let this happen. Louis invested a serious amount of money in to his team and the structure around it, which he has done with his own money. Rumours go around he have heen putting in a million Euro’s per season in to it, on top of the budget from Yamaha / Monster. On the other hand Louis haven’t been too nice to people behind another team in the paddock which caused them to fold for next season. Who is going to run the EMX 250 program is also still unclear as JWR doesn’t want anymore.
If he can stay healthy he'll be on the box, and a threat to win at every sand track. He was really fun to watch this year.
I’ve heard some numbers of other MX2 team owners that ‘invest’ even more per season into their team. Maybe MJC can step up as EMX250 team? I don’t know
Guy has a lot of talent. He had a lot of bad luck with - what seemed - bike problems this year. BUD had some really decent years and I admire that they’re still around after so many years, but it seems like their budget is limited.
Karssemakers is also an option (as a third rider). Would make sense. Second in EMX250, GP experience, Dutch guy, hard working, doesn’t care mentally about tough competition. I think de Reuver can work with that
The dumped girl, became Miss Universe. Yamaha won the 'Constructor Championship', congrats to Wilvo Yamaha. That team owners and sponsors are fighting with each other (with words or otherwise) isn't new. Maybe I should start a podcast on Patreon to tell all "dirty secrets" from team owners who like to bite another ones throat in halve and fill and drink a nice cup with the blood, gushes out of that wound.
Pit Row
I think you underestimate hutten. From what I know, Benistant liked his hutten bike better than his Kemea bike. And honestly, it doesn’t matter at all anyways, the bikes will all be Rinaldi Yamahas, just with some different logos on the bikes. Probably won’t looks any different than this year.
I was just at their shop in NL, they know what's expected of them and are busting ass to get things right.
The owner is investing big in the team and the facility, there are really stepping thing up.
Star Racing will have a lot to do with how the bikes perform - Hutten is starting testing the new bike this week I believe.
Rumors recently said that Braceras wont be with the team next year...

What is deal with Mattia Guadagnini? Havent seen him race much this season and now he is off the team?
To clarify, my post was not aimed at Kemea or Hutten not being good at what they do, but actually the other way around. I think they both have been doing a great job for the past few years.
My surprise is that Yamaha decided to change a winning formula in MX2 and EMX250 and they do that to replace Wilvo in MXGP who just won the constructor championship, and gave them 2nd, 2nd, 3rd & 4th in points in the last 4 years without having Gajser, Prado, Cairoli, Herlings or Febvre.
It's like PhilG says, who's dog did Vosters shoot, because from the outside the moves don't make much sense to me.
edit: sorry bout the layout, dont know how i can multiquote
Prugnieres seems like a good get. I can understand if they let Braceras go, he is still young but tbh i didnt see much improvement during the season and he isnt riding in a position that F&H is looking for. Imo there are others in EMX250 who would be an improvement.
Karssemakers seems like a nice fit
So is KTM still placing all their eggs in one basket with only Herlings in MXGP or are they going to get a second rider this time around, just in case?
I see Cas Valk listed as possibly VRT KTM, but didnt he sign a multi year contract with Fantic?
Also not sure if BT will be back.
I thought Braceras had a deal to continue with the team for next year, otherwise my source would be really really wrong
I wouldn't be surprised if they field 3 MX2 riders for next year.
Where is Cas Valk going? Is he gonna make the step into the GPs like most of the guys around him will do?
Him together with Rossi are mine standout riders in the EMX and both could be a front runner in the GPs in a short time like Coenen did, obviously with a good team/bike around him. Seems like Rossi got that deal sealed and a good move from KTM group to pick a rider like that.
Factory Yamaha, better than previous
