It's a totally separate issue than what he does on the track and I appreciate that the guy is winning and we don't have to hear about perfect technique and coaching and blah blah blah like it's a ballet out there.

Shows that he is very immature 17 year old kid. He just banked half million dollars so who cares who or who does not cheer for him. The difference between him at Jet at 17 are like night and day. But then again look how James Stewart acted at 17.
Being motivated by haters isn't really a sign of immaturity and its often something the greats in any sport have in common. The joy of winning only takes you so far. The hatred of losing or being doubted is much more intense motivator a lot of times. Go watch the last dance and listen to Jordan talk about it.
Deegan won on effort and results. That's all I look at. The social media stuff may put money in the bank and kudos for them knowing how to capitalize but us core dudes only care about what happens when the gate drops and that throttle gets turned to "11". Danger knows how to twist it...and I can dig that.

For sure. And he is a kid, so it is what it is. Like I said, I like his attitude/outlook. He brings intensity and has drive to win. I've always respected how hard he works and how important it is to him (especially given his upbringing.) The hater talk is beyond annoying but it could be worse. Like someone mentioned, the camera panned to Brian after he said it. So maybe he is told to say these things, who knows. But I think he could do without the theatrics. Just my opinion.
Kid is the real deal, he had the most impressive overall Rookie season since RV you could argue and he was a year younger then RV in 2006.
Deegan fans are a different breed. Kid can ride but hes not gods greatest gift to moto. The hater comments come across as a self made problem. Ive never really seen anyone direct hate at haiden. Ive seen way more toward brian which is warranted many times.

The fact that we don't "see" the haters does not mean they don't exist. I had no idea what James Stewart had to deal with until late in his career when he spoke of it. I know there are some pretty shitty people out there. I also know his dad made millions of $$s from putting on a show, his family understands the power of marketing. All of that aside, the kid is freaky fast and can't wait to see him line up in SX.

This is true. There are probably plenty of things said that we don't see. That being said, there is no way it can compare to anything that James had to deal with. But James was a professional about it and went about his business. Granted, different times but still. Deegan opened his family up to broadcast their lives on social media. I'm sure they love the fame and money that comes with that. And with that comes hecklers or people looking to troll, along with some that probably cross the line. But that's what they signed up for. We all know it, so I just think it comes off as cringe and just a bad look to continue this, at every opportunity. The kid's riding does that talking, at this point. But again, just my opinion. They are gonna do what they are gonna do. And I am a fan, but just making conversation.
Yeah, Brian Deegan is scripting all this cheesy drama. The worst of which was his faux-patriotism which seemed to abruptly end when it came to Hayden actually competing for the USA in the MXON.
The only reason anyone mentions the word patriot has nothing to do with politics, it's because that FMX fuck Brian Deegan draped his son in the American flag to ramp up his YouTube clicks, then Hayden proceeded to not join the US MXON team.
Presumably, the Deegans know that social media/YouTube algorithms select for emotive content - especially negative emotions - as this drives user engagement.

That actually wasn’t Deegans fault, he wanted to go since Chase was going but a sponsor issue stopped it from happening, then Yamaha said Haiden could go but they wanted Webb to go but Roger said no. So they said no Haiden. There is always more to the story, and people need to chill. It’s just motorcycle racing and these guys are mostly all kids lol.
he got 5th in the 1st moto. he could have lost hope and just mailed in the 2nd moto like some others did or thrown it away trying too hard to win but he freakin won the overall. give him a break. he's still a kid.
