Haha I can’t argue that.. touché sir

But I still disagree with going high on a berm being the same as waving someone by 🫡

The only difference is one hand gesture, the rest is the same.

i am a fan of race smarter, not harder. Jett had a math brain fart, but at least he showed that he thinks when he rides. James Stewart and RC would just have pinned it no matter what.

If there is points to be gained by going slower i don’t have a problem with it. But as we all know now, and Jett to there was no points due to this shitty points system.

Having just watched it, I think Jett's comments have been widely mis-interpreted. A few differences in Australasian humour that were lost in translation

From what I saw/heard, I thought the "big-brain" comment was Jett making fun of himself. The fact he took a couple of laps to be 100% confident that if he finished 2nd he'd still win the overall.

And the "gift" comment sounded (to me) as if he meant that Ken would be able to splash out on some more gifts for the newborn himself with extra prize/bonus money.

Could be wrong, but that's what I took from it. Quite light-hearted, self-deprecating humour that many people missed

It must hurt getting beat straight up speedwise for the first time this year. Better make it look like its all planned. Oh so smart 🤔

jett got beat straight up last round by chase....both motos?

he was obviously slowing down for ken but didn't realise he didn't need too.

i can't recall ever seeing jett rollover for anyone in his career (except for hunter!).

problem for jett now is............ he has unknowingly given kenny more motivation for next week........to park him...Silly

I can’t help but cheer for Kenny. I was never a fan, similar to chad reed, but the older he gets and his maturity/family man status it’s cool to see the crowd cheer for him. I always rooted against chad when he was young and brash but found myself cheering for both the older they get.

everyone has their opinion on the pass, but if I were Kenny it would light a fire under me and wouldn’t sit well. I know Jett wasn’t being malicious or intentionally disrespectful but it can’t sit well with someone with Kenny’s pride. I hope he comes out swinging next week

If it’s really Kenny’s pride at the core of this issue then maybe the problem is with Kenny.

Unless we read this week where Kenny says, "fuck that prick" or Jett says,"I gave it to him cause he's gonna kill his old ass trying to run my pace"...I'll carry on believing they are ok with each other.

Oh I agree 100%.  Seems to be some who are making this out to be a bigger issue than it really is.

I’m not that smart, but these guys should just do what they do and go fast. Trying to figure shit out isn’t what they are good at.

big brain means he is critisizing his own lack of intelligence in deciphering the points system!! (which lets be honest totally sux)

its typical aussie self depreciating humour...................

Judging by Kenny's fragile ego on display again with that (I'm guessing) Instagram comment in the race thread, he took it the wrong way too.

Oh well...

Lmao...I'm gonna guess he's already been told by dad, big bro, and others in the circle....just ride the bike...leave the thinkin' to us.

The kid has a good head but even he needs folks that ain't afraid to tell him to get his head out when he needs it.  I think he's got a group that don't fear him.

Haha yeah I can only imagine the conversation with Dazzy and Johnny 'O.

Oh well...

I think we're getting lost in translations here.  Small snippets and blurbs don't paint a very complete picture.

Until there is a sit down interview with both involved...I'll just roll on.

I think people forget how close Jett is to the Roczen family, Ken's dad was at the race and was also a trainer/father figure to Jett in Europe. Jett had the overall and wanted to see Ken win, a selfless act. Americans don't get this as your culture is results driven. You see this in Australian and New Zealand sport all the time, someone about to score a try and then give the ball to someone else who has a birthday or a big game or their last game  etc.

Kenny is pissy because he thought he had Jett, I can tell you as a huge KSK fan, Jett can wick it up anytime and would have just checked out if he wanted to.

Mostly agree.  Every rider out there can "wick" it up.  Staying on two wheels becomes the problem.

Did Jett have more without risking an auger...who knows?  Personally I believe we haven't seen him out of his comfort zone yet.

Kenny had a great ride...I mean really great.  I'm guessing they know each other way better than we know either of them.  Let them figure it out.  We got to see a master class at track taming...and it was not an easy track.

His body language just before and after he let KR94 by tells a different story than what we heard on the podium.

This ^^^  Jett thought letting Ken by would decrease the point difference between him and Chase.
