Done.  I won't buy any more Star ever again.

Yer ferrandis took to social media Moaning about not being picked by the French federation knowing full well he didn’t have a bike anyway , and cooper also planned his wedding around it knowing he didn’t have a bike to ride also 👏

I guess it's official we aren't sending a team now? At least we still have DeCoster as the team manager though, thank God!

It's time for us to just admit that the MXdN is just too complicated, hard and expensive.  Kinda like a marriage.

Us fans are like the kids.  No clue until one of the parents moves out.

Lots of folks believe the riders/teams owe us something for our love and support.  Not true.  We gave unconditionally.  We hoped that devotion would be returned.  Guess what...they don't love us...just our money.

It's not their fault.  It's the world THEY live in.  I'm the one that doesn't live in theirs.

Then dont make a social media complaining about the date of something you dont know if youre going to.

Didn’t Star support JCoop at Assen in 2019? Was there any other time Star (or Factory Yamaha since they are that now) didn’t support MXDN? This might be the first time but it is not unreasonable to expect support for Deegan or JCoop if selected (notwithstanding MXDN date move and subsequent conflict with JCoop wedding).

He was expecting to race or he wouldn't leave the door open. This is not going on a picnic we are talking about. It's the guys wedding. Your insulting the intelligence of everybody on this board by suggesting he was expecting nothing. I know you are intelligent enough to know what you are doing.

Have you ever planned anything over a year in advance? You have no idea what might happen but you think about all contingencies, and plan accordingly. His fiance wasn't consulting the team, just the calendar.

Given JCoop stellar performance last year at MXDN after all the doubters i can’t believe he was “not expecting anything”. He waived off 450 SX races to focus on 250MX, and while he may have underperformed he was still 2nd. He should have been first choice even before Deegan despite Deegan’s breakout rookie year.

Is you honestly believe deegan wouldn’t be there if he wanted to be your a complete retard don , they would make enough in vlogs alone to fund  it , he couldn’t give a shit about the flag he’s been waving all Summer ,also  teams have been covering riders for years let alone star Yamaha and they’re  cash cow , wake up and stop making a fool of yourself

Do you really believe star , dc the ama or anyone else for that matter is going to throw their cash cow under the bus ? If deegan wanted to ride I’m certain he would be riding

What about this for a suggestion.  One of the moto 'journalists' ring up Hayden Deegan or his father and ask him to explain exactly why he isn't going to MXON.  From there they can publish his reply. Said moto 'journalist' then contacts Star Yamaha and asks for a response based on Deegan's reply. This would also be the case if Deegan refuses to provide a reply.

Next, the correct action for the moto 'journalist' wouldn't be to just thank Deegan for whatever reply he gave and to start blowing him, but to ask further questions.  If he says he's carrying a slight injury and therefore can't go, ask what the injury is and why it's preventing him from racing etc. If he say's it's been a 'long season' ask why this is stopping him.  Also ask why he's not taking the opportunity to represent the United States when he's supposedly such a 'patriot' and is "American made' etc etc.

FFS.

Honestly this is beyond embarrassing.

If Roger can't get 3 (!) riders to go he should be fired as team manager. Effective Immediately. The AMA should have fired him a month ago when he apparently didn't have a plan for a race that happens ever year. This was not a surprise. How he didn't have conversations with 10 dudes at the start of the Motocross season about going and wiling to go is laughable.

People say that when Roger talks people listen, but if he isn't willing to talk to the industry about the importance of team USA then what kind of leader is he of team USA?

Make it happen. Period.

Most of these riders are contracted to race ONLY specific events.. ANY race beyond the specific scope of the contract is based upon approval by the team. This includes MXoN, Off-Season races...etc.

These contracts also stipulate WHAT bike they can ride, where and when...etc.

Doing anything outside the scope of what the contract allows can be and almost always is considered "breach of contract". I've seen people get in trouble with this kind of thing going all the way back to Factory Kawasaki taking Larry Wosick's bikes from him...at Mammoth...I think...in the mid 80s...?

This is a fair point, but for all we know MXON may be one of the specific events specified in Deegan's contract. That is, he has an option to race the event if he wants.  While I don't think Deegan is yet in the position of writing his own contracts, riders like Jett, Chase, and Eli dictate their terms to the teams - not the other way around.  If any of them thought going to MXON would be a problem for the team they were signing with, and they wanted to go, they would put this in their contracts.

I agree with Matthes when he says you could be a serial killer and the teams would support you - as long as you are winning.

He (or the committee) should be getting a commitment from the teams after SX before outdoors on whether or not they will support their rider(s) if chosen....It would save a lot of time and energy and would allow them to focus in on the riders that can go....this last minute crap from the teams is bullshit...

Agreed but don't pass the buck. It's Roger's responsibly as team manager. AMA appoints Roger every year to get a team together. If that is too much he shouldn't have the job.

That…and the fact JCoop is a better outdoor rider than Haiden.  People are so influenced by the hype that they over look the facts.  Go look at the season standings and Moto breakdowns.  JCoop was better at outdoors…period.  The scores don’t lie.

It's like talking in circles with you

What is the attitude for the AMA and Roger?

A. Maybe we'll send a team, maybe we won't.

Or

B. We are sending a team no matter what.

Answer that question yourself

Lars van Berkel came to the states with a gear bag and some suspension, ended up racing a few nationals and a couple of Canadian nationals, loved every minute of his vlogs, there is no reason it can't be done in reverse.
