Well, the WMX, EMX2 1st Motos and the MX2 Qualifier have been on.
RC's Little Sister (well, could be his Daughter) , Courtney Duncan that fast little Kiwi, won her Moto.
Lotte Van Drunen and Valk had a great battle for 4th and 5th. Good racing through out the field.
EMX2 : won by Cas Valk on the 2t FanYam.
Fueri, on the 2nd 2t FanYam, and Zanchi were having a great battle for 2nd, when, as Malin put it, 2 into 1 won't go. First view of the coming together, it looked a bit like Zanchi had been a bit rough. But, that view was from the inside front. Other views they were able to put up, pretty much straight away, one from the outside, and one from a drone above, showed the 2 into 1. Both committed to the turn, going into the 1 line. You could see Zanchi lost the front end on the inside (well on the side of the inside) of the main line, and as he was nearly going down, Fueri's wheels were basically on his, so I reckon that pulled Zanchi up from what was going to be his prang, and Fueri was popped / levered out, and highsided. Just Racing.
EMX2 is how Racing Should Be - Equivalency!. In that tussle between Fueri and Zanchi, the bikes were evenly matched. Not bad for a 90s era engine, in a mid 2000s chassis........
MX2 - Laegenefelder (sp?) won, but with Everts really having a go, catching him to lose by .3? of a second. Liam was Not satisfied with just missing out on the win!
Liam's really showing some aggression / determination lately, boding well for the future. From what I read, Liam has stepped a bit away from his Fathers and Grandfathers direction / influence ( I mean Nothing bad with that ) - he's just becoming more of his own man, as most of us all do. Though, I do think our sport has, at times, a bit too much family influence / hanging on at times.
A good battle back in the field was Adamo (Jimmy! - I always think of the Great Jimmy Adamo, of Flat Track and Road Racing fame [ I followed him and his exploits on the Reno Leoni Ducatis for quite a few years] , whenever I hear the Name Adamo.... same as I always think 'Fred', with Tom Vialle - hey, I'm Old and Silly) and that Sef Efrican that's on the rise - Mclellan / Maclellen (sp). It was for 10th - the last point, but they were going for it. The 'Seffy' got the point! Our Boom here would be happy about that.
During the MX2 race, it started pissing down, and the wind was something fierce. The MX1 race has been put back 1/2 an hour, to see if he storm dies down. Being out there with the wind, and the 'Air Time' this (and so many MX tracks now have) track has, would be pretty bloody hairy.
I like this track . You build the Track on the land you are presented with. The usual group of Drongos that hate on anything MXGP, will be crapping on about it, but, it's built well, beside a big Tourist area. That's what all those buildings are about. It's a Hot Springs area, right besides the mountains you can see. And, it's a bit like getting to Scandinavian and Baltic state races - difficult / expensive to get to.
They showed a paddock besides the track - looked to be a Camping area, with a whole lot of little tents. I wonder if they will survive the weather that's come in.
Well, I'm off to see if the 1/2 hour break has been enough for the wind to settle down - I'm not that sure it will, the sky looked pretty bloody wild, at time of broadcast pausing.
I might be wrong on this, but with the streams count down showing 15+ hours until the next streaming, they may have cancelled the MXGP Qualifying race - wind may well have got far worse.
I'll just hang around for a bit on my Grandas old recliner, in my Workshop, to see what happens. It's only 1.15 am here, and (normal) weekends with MXGP and US Racing, well, they tend to be ''No Sleep Til Brooklyn'' weekends........
MXGP qualifying races been cancelled with high winds, rain, thunder and lightning.... gate pick from timed practice.... no points given out
Yup, it looked to be tending towards Very Fuggin' Nasty.
Thanks for the heads up.

So while i am totally onboard with the decision to cancel the MXGP race, not running it at all is BS... its a fucking points paying race now and that could decide the series... fuck warm ups off tomorrow and run it in the morning.
And WTF is Adamo on? how do you have a 16 rider field ( i wont count the 2 locals) and finish 11th, after not ever going down .
How has Geerts ended up not winning this again .
Adamo did go down or collide with another rider in the openingslap. He was at 3rd or 4th place.
Geerts had to come through the field and had some crashes in the training sessions. Maybe don’t want to risk anything.
I think Adamo crashed right? On first lap with Everts?
Adamo did not crash but ran into the back of a rider and dropped him back but he barley moved up and even lost a position on the last lap to McCellan and ended up finishing out of the points in 11th.
I agree about cancelling the qual race. Seems weird to cancel a point paying race but, MXGP has always done its own thing.
He ran in to Coenen, but didnt go down, and sat in 12th for ages.
Didn't look like he crashed from the first full lap onwards.
After watching VMXdN at Foxhill last week it just brings it home how desperately boring this (and some other) MXGP tracks are these days.
....and quite often the gates are only hal full...
It's ironic that the worst tracks are the most expensive to get to.
4th title in the last 5 seasons for Duncan ahead of Guillen and Van Drunen.
Lynn Valk was by far the best in that 2nd moto mudfest which gave a lot of the ladies a hard time...
How are the conditions this morning?
Argentina?
The one exception.
Congrats CD151, well deserved
Pit Row
Sumbawa?
Bit muddy but overall fine... As long as it doesn't rain again, which there is the possibility that it might
Thanks Ayearinmx, appreciated. Fingers crossed that the rain stays away.
Just saw the 2nd 250 Moto - Liam got 2nd, to get another GP win.
I missed the first motos. I 'clacked' a tree in a ride today, and am pretty 2nd hand. By 'clacked': I hit hard enough to break the chin guard on a near new Arai. Girlfriends here, threatening to take me to Hospital. I think she could be onto something.
Courtney Duncan Won another WMX Title. Good on her, even if she is a 'Dastardly Kiwi'. Spaniard Garcia got 2nd in the series, and Lotte van Drunen got 3rd. What surprised me is the 11 1/2 years difference in age between Courtney and Lottie. Didn't realize how old ( joking there) CD is, her being 27 and Lottie only just having turned 16.
Track looks like it came up well after what appears was a bit of a hammering.
2nd 450 moto about to start, I might miss it, as 'She Who Must Be Obeyed' is pretty insistent I go to emergency for a check up / observation. What would we Idiot males do without sensible Women to watch over us?
Oh, as to Paul Bird ; it is a bit cruel to bring up his substance related issues. But, he did get suspended for 2 years from his Car racing in around 2015 (for cocaine and some other substance) , and was suspended again for 8 years for refusing to submit to a test, that was to last until 2026.
Very sad to hear of his death - he, like a fair few (very) well off men, really has poured Multi Millions into his Motorcycle Teams over many years. With Huge success. His family company, is, I think, if not The biggest Poultry suppliers in Britain / Europe, is one of the biggest.
British Motorcycle Sport, has lost a huge backer and patron.
RIP Paul Bird - 56 is a bit too early, I reckon.
How awesome for Horgmo to finally get that moto win
Gajser nice to see up front again 👍
Unlucky for Prado. At least he salvaged 10th. Wonder why he couldn’t get the bike started?
Honestly has there ever been a rider like Seewer that crashes as hard as he does and NEVER gets hurt? it's so insane. Dude highsides in 4th gear and gets run over and bounces right up and runs back to his bike
I will admit that crash had me worried for a second... I then remembered it's Jeremy and he'll be fine, haha.
SEEWER CRASHED...
'He'll be fine'
BUT HE GOT RUN OVER
'yeah , whatever' .
Meanwhile
HERLINGS MISSES A GEAR.
'Out for rest of season'
Seriously, is Seewer all just tendon amd sinew?
Wasnt a pretty GP, but at least there wont be any queue's to get out.
To go from a spectacular, well attended GP like Arnhem to Turkiye is quite a letdown to be honest.
That place looked like the Vet track at Lake Elsinore motocross.
Worst MXGP track of the season award goes to...
I thought switzerland was pretty bad, even worse then this. But at least there were people in switzerland. Money runs the world but it is a bummer that with all the amazing tracks that there is around the world, there is still a couple of gp every years at these subpar tracks. It's as if f1 would do a couple of rounds at some random local go kart track because somebody is willing to pay them to go there. Doesn't look to good for the sport, but sure fills some pocket.
hahah exactly. Even more than RC as he crashes a lot more than RC.
His crash last race on the last lap was nasty yet he was running for his bike before it even stopped bouncing!!
I think he is my favorite GP rider as he sends it 100%
