The amateur riders gave him so much competition that he melted his bike down, trying to keep up.

It was fairly late into 40+ that the bike packed up to be fair. How much later was the DNS in 50+?

I missed that one and the race orders seem to be all weird after the weather.

I wish Coombs would just change the rules to state that, "NOBODY that ever scored a point or, earned a dollar either racing, teaching or, cleaning boots,,,, could ever set foot in Tennessee." Name it the Mike Brown ammendment and his legacy can be that he was just too good and had to be stopped before he destroyed the sport. Bunch of pansies.

Sucked some water in it. By the time they were able to find a motor it was too late and classes were moving too quick. He was a bit bummed, but swamp racing, what do you expect? He really doesn’t have support from KTM. All his support for bikes comes from Munn Racing in Texas.

Do you realize that some of these amateur kids are making money? A lot of their families wouldn’t even be able to make it to the races if they weren’t making money somewhere. Do you think racers making money from contingency programs shouldn’t be able to race Loretta’s? How about the guys getting paid for winning their local A class? Your stupidity is what would ruin Loretta’s. Not a handful of ex pros who race the “old man” classes. Honestly, you’re the one being a pansy here. Thank god DC is smart enough to not give in to a couple of ding alings on the internet who complain about it.

He raced some outdoors but never scored any points, he would be ineligible if he scored points.

Both my brothers raced nationals. Ronnie (who just won +45) never scored a national point. He came close, I think he got 21st in like 98 or something in a moto. But no points ever. Did a few nationals and a few sx races but then went to freestyle. Just got back into racing more often a few years ago again.

my brother Ricky has multiple top 10s in sx and mx, as well as a few Loretta’s titles.

Racing in that mud slop is a drag.  Anything can happen in that mess.  Brown will be back.

I think they should pay high school football players a percentage of the gate fee.  This is the logic I see here. Actually, they probably should today........

Anyhow.....

There is nothing amature about amature sports today.  Nothing!!

But I don't agree that former professional  national Champs should be riding at a amature national championship event. They have many events they can race.  Pleezzz!!

I don't see Bobby Bonds playing amature baseball for a national championship.  Yes, he plays amature baseball, but not for a national championship and hockey and basketball doesn't do this either.   That's the difference

And you people that think this is good for the sport also probably think the 10th place pro is getting screwed because he is and can't make a respectable living.   He isn't making any money.  But don't complain, cause he can sit out a year and come back and race Lotetta Lynn's right?  I just don't get it with your logic.

You can't have it both ways.

I have nothing for these two and more power to them. They aren't breaking any rules.  The rules are wacky.  The OEM's write the rules to further bike sales.  Otherwise, we wouldn't have this discussion of plus classes and pros riding the Pro AM class at an amature national

It makes the sport look bad to many.

Is it Ricky then that runs # 532 ? I Love that # and run it too. I was born 531 pm so I used to run that but didn’t get my stuff in to the district in time & lost

it. 532 is the best looking # anything with 53 is great tho.  Is there a party planned for your brother ?  A potato gun packed with confetti would be a good start then a massive amount of fireworks.

Not looking to start a war - but the class is Plus 30/40/50......these are age based classes and not ability.....he 100% deserves to win if he can. Why would riders with less talent care to exclude ex Pro's ??

The real elephant in the room is the BS sandbagging in the B and C cats'

One of the Renner brothers did a hilarious break dance routine during the freestyle shows.   Chicago hadn't seen freestyle yet and the whole arena lit up when Renner set his bike down and Pop N Locked!

Monster Energy AMA \\\\Amateur ////National Motocross Championship. I don't think they are amateurs just saying , i race in a age-based Association I don't think no I know we would not let them race against  Amateurs. Must be a flood coming time to break out the SAND BAGS

Is the issue that he's not racing the Pro Sport classes only? Is that really it? Because who cares. The guy is 50+, former champion and factory rider. So is Emig and I didn't hear the clowns who brought this up hating on Emig.. So dumb. Just let the guys race, let them enjoy the sport they love and we love.
