How much is that rookie title worth to the Godfather?

The AMA should test the kid if they feel there's something going on.

There's no secret to discipline. Most people lack it and would rather speculate on what shortcuts the other person took.

That looks like a guy who has a lot of discipline to me. Has all the money and comfort he needs, but chooses to be uncomfortable and keep himself fit.

Being lean takes work but is 100% achievable like you said. Now, if he had another 20-30 pounds of muscle as a similar bodyfat percentage, that would certainly raise some eyebrows.

I am not a subscriber but that is a very bad look. And a very bad look for the frenchies in general so I am pretty disappointed by their talk. Having doubts in private conversations is very very different than through a serious media/name that has built its legitimacy over the last 20 years.

Here Kerv' is frank as always, but he doesn't need to throw some shades with zero proofs on one of the most popular riders, or any rider for that matter, weither you like him or not. It could be considered as defamation and he could lose his shirt playing this game. It reminds me of some "famous" people a few years ago spreading bad stories on the series and that were supposed to say big things then nothing popped up.

I know Kervella has his protégé on track, so is he not surprised by Shimoda's performance when he scores a 5th then win next moto or next rounds with a 20 seconds lead ? It is easy to say BS and to throw shade on someone but it can work both ways.

I was pinching myself to check I wasn't dreaming.

Lebig vaguely protests, saying "maybe it's just because he's young, giving it all he has, has a lot of natural stamina" before going "It's true he doesn't seem tired at all on the podium" and "he said at the press conference he's doing more stuff than working with Swanepoel but he won't tell what"...

Yup. Normally Lebig and Kervella too are really good but here we got to wonder if these 2 were not on ritalin or on whiskey before they started the interview. This was private and/or BS talks late in a club. Lebig is great, 20+ years of journalism in the US so let us just say he did an OTB, it happens even to the best of us. It can happen to any one. But let us chill on the kid before bringing some crazy theories, if you t-bone someone once you get a pass, sh.. happens, but come on, once not twice. (and actually little private apologies would not be out of the line either)

I’m not a fan of the Deegans or there marketing but to flat out accuse Haiden of taking PED’s with no evidence is disrespectful. The kid obviously has the work ethic and skill needed to succeed at this level.

I have a bigger problem with them trying to stoke a divide in the fan base between the Lawrence’s and Haiden

"This was private and/or BS talks late in a club."

Exactly what it sounds like, except it's a pro media content. Kervella saying "That kid has a history of cutting the track, anyway" and Lebig replying "C'mon, man, you can't cut the track without being seen at a National!".

For sure, if you're on PEDs AND cutting the track, that makes for some fast laps.

Took the words right out of my mouth lol.

Being 135lbs isn't "ripped" lmao he's just lean (which is great, good for him). If he was 190 and lean at his age. Ok I can get there. Tbh Brian doesn't even look like he is on TRT, just looks like does regular cardio.

RE: Hayden being on "peds" - It's incredible to me that people think you can just take some magical "ped" and start winning races. Not to mention just taking substances doesn't do shit for you most of the time. Anyone whose taken any form of enhancing drug knows you usually have to get bloodwork done semi-monthly or monthly and take other drugs to counteract the side effects. You guys act like he's popping some magical pill to make him gain 3 seconds a lap lmao.

I do think it is naïve to think that riders in an endurance-based sport have not taken things to try to counteract the effect that practice and two long moto's have on your body. I just don't think anything has really helped (or everyone would be doing it).

There's a "men's clinic" that regularly advertises on moto things and I believe was one of the listed sponsors of a national earlier this summer. What percentage of their business do you think is just good old testosterone? Fancy it up however you want, those clinics are just legally selling PEDs. If there's no testing protocol in place then it's hardly even fair to call it cheating. That being said, I think the in race advantages to be had in this sport are probably limited to epo or other forms of blood doping. The rest of the options out there could surely help with recovery and fitness during the week but aren't doing much in the motos themselves.

the french always accuse ppl of doping. its a national pasttime for them.

that said......... i had the same thought watching deegan charge that second moto. my literal words were "well his dad is juiced and they have a history of cheating sooo wouldn't be surprised"

Sorry I'm old, and a big fan of Ben Johnson.

As far as I'm concerned, use what is at your disposal, I don't care just let me watch the magic on the track.

Yanning always has been and always will be an absolute clown. He’s a decent enough trainer but he thinks he’s better than you and he knows it. Guy always talks down to his riders unless they’re elite, treats mechanics like absolute Sh!t, asks for an insane amount of money to work with and his only claim to fame is marv.. also a few years ago was spreading some pretty nasty rumors about Cooper Webb and people were believing it because of his ties with marv.. all in all F that guy

It's unbelievable someone would make an allegation like that with no evidence other than results. It's obvious in the way Deegan was riding the tires off that bike that he was at next-level speed. Even JS7 was in awe. The kid is a phenom.

To look like that at 51 is hard. But even if he is on TRT, or peptides, it’s still a helluva lot of work to look that good.

If he is on T, so what? I think every guy over 50 should try it, it’s such a better way of life.

The problem is that they think one guy is, and the other guy isn't.  Apparently, Deegan needs peds to win, but the others are just doing so based on talent.  I can't speak to what goes on, but I can say that if it is happening, it's pretty much happening on a big scale.

That is also why I am kinda angry. Now any relatively fast kid/crazy dad in 65 or 85 in France will think they need "something" with all the potential consequences particularly as amateurs are amateurs whereas it is BS. Total BS. At some point just STFU if it is too late in the club unless you have clear evidences. Deeg's is showing the way through hard work and ethic to all the kids (yup, and of course money/sponsors/results/support), that is fu... important to keep that clear. Many kids are already on stress. The sport is already gnarly enough. Work (smart on the) moto, shit moto, sleep moto, that is the recipie, period.

Ha, I can tell you what he's not doing...sitting around all day watching other youtube channels.  Like mentioned, eating decent and a bit of discipline will result in someone who looks like this at that age.

He is in great shape and 17 years old! He is also not expected to win which takes a huge amount of pressure off his back. That is a huge advantage against riders much older than him are expected to bring in the championship.

7/25/2023 1:04pm

Imagine a factory team building a race bike. If pro circuit builds the ugliest exhaust ever but performs 5% better than stock;  they’re running it.  Ungodly amounts of money/time/effort being spent on bikes for the slightest performance gains.  If ______* allows a rider to have  2% less fatigue at the 25 minute mark, than they’re taking it.   They didn’t hire Aldon for good looks or stellar reputation

because JS7 doped?  "hi Im James nurse here to administer an IV". WADA states NO NEEDLES. USADA does too. THATS DOPING lol.

because plenty of people have gone down for doping after lying through their teeth about it. the family has cheated in the past, and the kid rides like a scalded ape late in teh second moto on a hotass day after racing an even hotter race the week before that had most people smoked And at 17 lol. it's a reasonable question to ask. that people start clutching their pearls is hilarious. he's a public figure with a record.  that why YOU NEVER CHEAT. character is like a tooth. once its pulled you cant put it back. that pitiful minibike big bore and the track cutting and promoter intimidating will cast a shadow on the kids entire career, right or wrong.
