It'll be interesting to see how many actually get in the motos first,  the consolation race will be stacked with 2 strokes. You would think Brown, Robin, and Burkeen qualify straight in, after that it's hard to say who gets in, Moranz likely would.

Yamaha YZ 50th anniversary and they couldn't kick anything down for the top YZ?

Not surprised can't even get them to update the bike but they have no problem increasing the price

There's not much to update. Maybe the swing arm and a small chassis update? 1hp less than a KTM at peak with a much wider and more friendly powerband. Actually, against the new FI it might have more peak...

Suspension, brakes, and bodywork get updates on occasion as we have seen.

Could use some beef on the transmission.

I can't complain about the price. Doubt they are any cheaper to make than 7 years ago, but I paid less for my 2023 than I did for my 2016 (timing in the year was better and got a deal).

I'm just not a big fan of the ergonomics on the Yamaha and the transmission is terrible seeing a lot of failures and yes the KTM stock has a terrible power band but once you massaged it a little bit it opens it up quite a bit has a lot more potential I believe and the clutch is a lot better on the Austrian bike! That being said the suspension on the Austrian bikes is terrible I've had to do two KYB conversions on ours LOL

I’m surprised we haven’t seen too much content from the 2 stroke racers on Instagram yet, it was hard to even know who was racing until a couple days ago.

i would think those guys would try to hype it up to raise more purse or advertise themselves but they barely did.

Unless something has changed last second.

Probably a dumb question but are there some ECU's coming out for the KTM's? Last I heard Vertex wasn't doing anything. Wondering what the pros are having done to them.

WMR and Twisted have cracked the stock ECU.

Clutch life on KTM 100% better than YZ, but YZ suspension is money!

So, how many are fuel injected and how many are running the carbs? That would be cool to know.

 2007 yz vs 2023 tc250(tbi)

yz is blue and stronger then the tbi, not bad for a 24 year old motor. Has way more grunt also

I think it’s just before 5pm Eastern.  It’s the race after 250 moto 1.
