Anyone else getting kicked off the internet when watching Peacock? It's the only channel that does it out of all of them. I have Starlink and when I get kicked I have to go to the top level of my house unplug and replug the router 5 times to get Peacock back online. Every other station I get works even when Peacock says "not connected to internet ". Strange...
No problem here. Have a landline connection to Comcast. Crystal clear. I did notice a couple times where it buffered during RDL though.
Have heard shaky things about Starlink from the RV community.
I got kicked out twice today on Peacock, and I never have issues. Cox Gigablast internet so internet was not the issue and didn't lose any service today. Both times I had to close out Peacock and re-open it back up. Took only about 30 seconds both times but just a little annoying.
Price bump for Peacock:
The Shop
Free shipping: VITALMX
Luxon 4-Post Bar Mounts
$189.95 - $239.95
Cut the cord, you will save money!!!!
I cut the cord years ago. I installed an OTA antenna on my roof for the local channels and it works like a charm. The only subscriptions I pay for are Netflix and Peacock.
For anyone interested in a cheap OTA antenna that will give you all the local channels and news, I discussed it here back in 2017. Look for my post on Tv Fool. Still working perfectly with channels in HD:

I got that price increase email too.
I picked up Peacock streaming last year when they had a 1 yr $19.99 deal. When that runs out, I'll cancel and just pick go month to month for racing months. Outdoors has been so boring this year, I would not pay for the service and just watch youtube hightlights.
Other than SX/MX, Peacock content sucks and not worth even $5.00 a month.
No issues dropping ever with the app that is on Apple TV.
The Peacock issues seem to relate to what interface and internet service their user has.
Watch Poker Face, Yellowstone, Le Tour de France and the English Premier League is starting soon. Content isn’t bad for the price actually
Yup....Yellowstone was excellent! Problem with it on Peacock, it's way behind the actual release dates.
Not into other sports and modern "TV" shows are filled with too much BS for my tastes.
Truth
You guys are lucky, I wish we could get Peacock here in Canada, even at $5.99/month.
With taxes and exchange the SMX package is almost $300 here.
Black Diesel, I took your advice years ago. Have the same setup as you, but I have a Roku TV as well. More than enough, tons of free shit out floating around in the airwaves to keep a family entertained. Cable, Dish, etc..... rip off. Thanks! What I paid for cable, now that money basically pays my yearly auto insurance instead. Watch your dollars folks....
The Office extended additions are worth the price alone. Many good shows on as reruns too.
Nice, it's one of those cheap thrills that just keeps on giving. I don't watch a lot of TV but sometimes guests will want to watch something and when i turn the TV on the local channels are all there in HD and I get like 40-50 channels in addition to the local channels, all from this cheap little antenna. I used to pay $120+ a month for direct TV. At $1440 per year I've saved enough over the last seven years to buy a new bike ($10,080). And with interest around 5% currently, that money is even more valuable in the bank.
mine will lock up then spped up to normal pace a few times but only late in the broadcast say lasy 1/4 of 2nd moto but it could just be my bullshit frontier internet
overall peecack has been pretty good imo
When my son was off in college, i would send him the old cable bill cash so he could have some fuck off money for whatever. He worked on campus, so he had income, but the extra 150 a month gave him some extra date money. My neighbor still has the same cable package I had, and last we talked he was at 224 a month..... Now that Gun graduated (FUCK YEAH!!!!), my car insurance gets a tad more help for the year. Roku, and an antenna, are damn hard to beat.
Keep an eye out around Black Friday deals for peacock. I can’t remember what I paid but it was super cheap for a year.
Pit Row
$0.99 a month is what I paid. No complaints here
If you have AMMEX its free if you charge it to the card.
Plus, the Rugby World Cup this year will be streaming on Peacock in September. Viva Le XV de France.
Peacock is a lot of sports not that popular in the US, which if you aren’t originally from the US like me is great! Cycling, premier league, rugby, motocross, supercross to name a few. I also charge to my Amex and get it free.
Someone told me yesterday that if you have Amazon Prime, you get Peacock for free… anyone know about this or if it’s true ?
Poker Face is the first show I've binge watched in years. Good show
If that's true I've been waisting money. I need to look into it.
I just did a little search and came up with this… apparently this has been a topic of conversation.

but if nothing else, keep an eye out for the $0.99 deal.

I don't think so, but it sounds like there's an AMEX solution to getting it free. I had no idea. I wonder if you have to pay the monthly subscription on the AMEX to get it free or if you can just purchase the whole year in a lump sum and get it free.
Whats English premier league?? Some kind of black jack gambling show?🙃
I have an Amex platinum and it’s refunded as a monthly statement credit, so you can’t do the annual plan. I’m not sure if other Amex cards do the same deal or if it’s just the platinum one though.
My Peacock has frozen alot but mostly during qualifying, I also use Starlink thru a basic Roku. Have not had the problem with any other streaming services.
