They don't want them taking their market. Then they want to be provided the best coverage.
And look at the coverage the ama offer international viewers. We could barely watch an outdoor moto till last season. Now they want $300 for streaming. International riders have won 4 of the last 6 mx championships and could be 6 from 8 soon.

The people screaming that it should be able to stream live, I agree. But they obviously are at the mercy of the rights deals they signed. They probably needed rights deals money up front over the idea of investing in building their own streaming ecosystem that can be used worldwide like mXGPTV. It isn't them not showing it live it's the rules in the US or wherever your market is causing it.
I am okay letting them go this route for the first few years as long as the end goal is to eventually end up on a live streaming package.
My plan is to watch Red Bud live and then by the time it is done, the mains will probably sneak onto YouTube and I can either watch it there or wait till the next day when its on TV.
Either way Im watching 1 more race than I normally would be this weekend and thats fine by me.

I'm flagging at Red Bud for the first time, so I'll damn sure be watching (my section).
I dont see it as an attack tho. American teams won't allow their riders to race it. All I hear is its back markers and gate fillers anyway. We can't watch it live so its not like its fighting for viewership with the nationals. The only thing I see is more happy riders and guys making more money. Plus more racing which im not going to complain about even if I don't watch it.
You've got to be kidding me, 4 hours is not very far for something you've built up as momentous. That's about how long it takes me to drive to Houston, and I've been to several Houston SXs. I do leave the kids at home, though.
