Is there any news on Chase Sexton’s condition, status of recovery or real speculation on him returning at any point of the season? Has he been truly diagnosed with Mono on top of his concussion issues?

some good sources are saying he is not coming back for MX, didnt hear about the playoff rounds. Also heard tomac informed star that if he heals in time to prepare for 24 sx, hes in.

Curious who said that about Sexton? Lars mentioned last week he's fairly confident we will see Sexton at Redbud.
the guy who I got this from is part of the program but not part of honda. Its his thoughts. I didnt mean for it to come off as certain or from chase sexton. Just sharing what I heard from someone that would know more than myself. Its frustrating how moto is so hush hush on everything.

Doesn't make much sense to come back for high point with the week off after. Skip one race, get two extra weeks of recovery. Kind of a no brainer if not in championship fight.

Statistics say that 90% of people with mono have Epstein Bar Syndrome.
I had mono as a teen a couldn’t get up to take a piss without feeling exhausted. It last for like 6-8 weeks if I remember correctly.
I lost like 25 lbs.

My wife had mono Epstein-Barr she was 48, tired but not terrible. I heard he just doesn't want to ride for Honda anymore
This guy has crashed and got up more than any other pro I can think of. He took Tomac all the way to the last moto last year. He just won the 450 SX title. Jett beats him one race and you guys seriously think he’s sitting out just because he doesn’t want to ride for Honda?!

Mono discovery came when he got to the hospital after he got his bell rung riding practice.
Mono is a disease, epstein barr is the virus that usually causes it. You might be carrying the virus right now, doesn't mean you have the disease. Even if chase has the disease, the impact it has on a person can vary a great deal.
Not sure what disease the people have who keep saying chase just doesn't want to ride?

These guys are racing too much. In professional cycling. guys are cutting back on their racing so they can do well in races that matter. This sport isn’t like that so they don’t have the option to race select events, but it seems like our athletes get completely wiped out physically from a serious title effort.
Eli was an exception last year, but his achilles tendon exploded through the supercross season.
It would seem to me Chase would come back this weekend. Doesn't he want to be the 1st ever super duper champion guy? He is tied with Webb in points now.

I don't think chase honestly considers webb a threat. Chase has two competitors, jett and the ground.
I agree but if he misses another race that will give Webb a pretty big points cushion. I'm not sure how the SMX points work. Does the winner of a National get SMX points for each moto or is it just for the overall? $1M for the title winner so worth it for Chase to come back I would think.

They do not receive points for any individual results during the season, only overall points total.
Simply put, the number one combined points rider will receive 25 points to start the SMX championship.

3. Aaron Plessinger 345 PTS would start SMX with 20 points.

6. Ken Roczen 304 PTS would start SMX with 15 points.
7. Justin Barcia 267 PTS would start SMX with 14 points.
8. Jason Anderson 242 PTS would start SMX with 13 points.
9. Justin Hill 212 PTS would start SMX with 12 points.
10. Dean Wilson 200 PTS would start SMX with 11 points.
11. Dylan Ferrandis 172 PTS would start SMX with 10 points.
