If it’s helping riders make a living and show up week in week out I’m all for it ! If your child recognises the logo ( don’t think many would )  then you’ve probably got a problem already 👍

I am currently entertaining sponsorships for Loretta's in +25 & +30.....i'm in a relationship & not too familiar with the OF girls but if you guys know of any sponsorship opportunities (whether it's OF or anything else) shoot me a message! I'll probably make another thread to put some more information!

Shhhh they don’t want to talk about actually parenting their own children…they would rather come on a forum and complain about a website that requires a login to even view any of its content. Meanwhile helping pay the most underpaid riders of “our” sport is pushed to the wayside because we have to protect the oh so many children that are going to see a logo on kesslers bike in 20th place and completely spiral their lives out of control…

I'm fine with it.  After all, the riders have been screwed by the purses for over 50 years.

I find it funny how adults can be so offended by a naked human body, the most natural thing in the world, something everyone has and sees every day, but not by things that are deliberately exploitative and actually bad for you. We’ve certainly learnt to be a weird mob.

Oh I’m sorry, I didn’t think I mentioned ‘porn’, can you show me where I did so I can fix it?

What’s mind blowing is that parents think they can control the outside world and everyone should cater to whatever arbitrary line they deem as appropriate.  In this case objectified models in skirts pushing literal poison is perfectly acceptable, but a logo for a website that’s know for its pornographic content (which it makes no reference to I might add) is way over the line?

It makes no rational sense to pretend you can control everything your kids are exposed to, the only way that’s possible is to never leave your house.

So with that logic you’d be ok then with onlyfans as the title sponsor of the series?

Parents can control what their kids are exposed to - in this case by not attending motocross if they feel strongly about it.

And “literal poison”? So if I have a can of energy drink tomorrow I’ll be at the hospital soon thereafter?

There's a difference between thinking you can control everything or dictate to others what they can and cannot do vs taking a pass on something because of some aspect of it that others have chosen to include. You're just naive if you don't think there's a mom that gets dragged along to a race and sees monster girls falling out of their clothes, hears the way half of you talk in the stands, gets beer spilled on their shoes, and then sees this and thinks never again.... It has nothing to do with controlling the outside world, it's about controlling your world and where you spend your time and money.

It's not a huge deal either way, but some of you acting like the only reason you might be opposed to this is because you're some Bible thumping prude should try to see the bigger picture once in a while. Some things just aren't worth it and it ends up being death by a thousand cuts.

While I certainly agree with you regarding the inability to control everything your kids are exposed to, I do have to disagree with the other part of your logic here.

Simply suggesting that it’s ok to have a porn site as a sponsor because we already have monster girls is nothing more than moving the goal posts.

There either is or isn’t a standard.

Hilarious moral high ground bullcrap.

I don't care if you are left, right, or independent we literally elected the 45th president days after a tape came out talking about how he just walks up and grabs them by the pu$$y.  We parade women about in tight leather/spandex/jean shorts and claim morale high ground?

Get over yourself and have a talk with your child. Engage them fully at every level. SEX sells everywhere and all the time. It is up to you and your engagement with your child to teach them right, wrong, and blurry lines.

You made my exact point, if you or anyone else is disturbed by an OF logo and the fact that you might have to explain to your kid(s) that it’s a website that contains some adult content then yes, absolutely do not bring them to a race.  I don’t know why that’s such a hard conversation to have, just say it’s mainly for adults and move on with your day.

The difference if they’re not being exposed to anything, some riders are running a logo, that’s it.  There aren’t pornographic images being displayed, there’s not explicit content being show, it’s literally a logo that they might be curious and ask about.  Most if not all of the riders sponsored by OF use it to create their own members only content that has nothing at all to do with porn.  To me having half naked girls pushing energy drinks in the pits is a hell of a lot worse than that for kids, but that’s just my opinion and I’m not here to go against it.

on a more serious note, the pic I posted is not from an mx-related site. But very indicative of the image of Monster and MX/SX. So we shouldn’t be surprised to see OnlyFans finding MX lucrative from a marketing standpoint.

That’s a naive and disingenuous take.  Motocross spectators aren’t being exposed to cigarettes and alcohol either; look what happened to them with advertising in sports.

Symbols, logos, brand names - they all represent something.  It’s that representation that people will react to.

OnlyFans is a porn site.  That’s what it is, that’s what most people believe it is.  Whether it started as something different, or the owners proclaim it to be something else is irrelevant.

One low placed rider is a non-issue.  I’ll bet my bottom dollar however that MX/SX promoters wouldn’t touch them with a barge pole as naming rights sponsors.  Why do you think that is?

They are probably already walking a fine line with energy drink sponsors as it is.  Certainly there’s appeal to the core MX market but I doubt that energy drink advertising has much impact on a wider audience like young families and older generations.

This reminds me of back in the day when was a kid and you had to stay up after midnight to watch the races in a 2 week delay and TV would be flush with 1-900 commercials.

I'm 100% for outside sponsorship to help fund privateer racing efforts...but to get it from the porn industry is another thing. The rider that went looking for that sponsorship deal did it to attract attention...and he/they succeeded. The problem is that it basically promotes porn in an industry that is aimed at the younger generation...and that, in my own opinion is a huge negative. There are other choices for sponsorship.

It looks exactly like a billboard to me, and a mobile one at that. Billboards are meant to garner attention. Tiger gets about 60% of the total TV coverage regardless of his score. Monster planted a big old Monster claw on their roaming billboard that would be seen millions of times over a golf tournament.

I know you're trying to save face a bit by arguing petty semantics.... The fact remains that Monster is in golf, on the biggest stage, with the biggest player.

Its not like you can go to onlyfans.com and see anything, its not like porn hub out here sponsoring riders and kids go to that site and see stuff, you cant see anything on onlyfans without paying. I'm all about companies supporting the riders, you guys blowing this way outa proportion.

So…

Free porn website sponsor = not ok.

Paid porn website sponsor = ok.

Just trying to get a feel for where people draw the line.

I don’t care either way, some the ppl in here bashing the only fans sponsorship saying kids will go online and see porn. You can’t see anything on onlyfans without signing up,paying/subscribing is my point.

There is a reason some of these chicks are pulling 6 figures per month to model whatever product pays them. Because sex sells, always has and always will. It's not just onlyfans, Instagram and Tiktok push it as well. Hell even on youtube and Twitch have girls streaming video games with some cleavage out.

You’re confusing brand awareness through personal sponsorship with billboards sponsoring an entire sport. Much like you can not tell the difference between a bag and billboards. I’d hardly call that semantics.

As Woods is on every sports channel, raising brand awareness through sponsoring him personally is very different to sponsoring the PGA. why? Because when you sit on your couch after a long day with a beer you will see that logo on the sports highlights. Most people will not watch the actual game though. And Monster will get more exposure towards casual sport fans who may be within their customer segment, as opposed to the golf crowd where it is more limited.

That is why Monster spends huge amounts on sponsoring sports that fit their customer base. That is why there is no PGA Monster Energy Golf Series, or Monster Energy World Figure Skating Championship. The general fan does not consume energy drinks.
I really don’t understand what it is you don’t understand
