Ran across this from ‘91 I’m guessing. Kind of cool. JMB just messing around on his RC250. Music is pretty corny.

@tblazier would be proud 😊

Skillz ahead of his time. I feel like Josh Hill needs to use that music in his next freeride vid Laughing

I’ve seen this before! If not this video, then certainly some of this footage. But it was a long long time ago.

it was said that JMB would do a little proper testing at the beginning of the year, then once that was done wouldn’t need to test anymore, he would just play-ride like this as much as he wanted.

I wasn’t a fan at the time (I was rootin for Bradshaw) but I’m a big fan now!

I didn’t get into the sport until 93/94 so missed out on him. But definitely cool to watch the style/talent he had that I always heard about.

If I were hammering out 35 minute motos against the stop watch while my teammate was doing this, and he was beating me on race day, I guess I would hate him too.

What a legend. I think you could make a case that there is maybe more to be learned just jacking around like this once in a while than just endlessly hammering laps on same old track day after day

He had so much natural talent...  I just wish he had the drive to continue.

There were a couple of times where he really let it loose, especially on the 500s and in SX that year.

Looks like the old HondaLand factory test track out in Simi. You could sneak in thru a cut in the fence if you knew where to look.

Supposedly JMB roosted his initials into one of the hillsides by jumping and landing his rear wheel at different angles. We used to roll around the SX track and wonder how they did those whoops.

Bayle knew he could win with little effort &it showed in his riding style. Stanton had to train hard & work hard to keep up. Both champions.

yep Bayle carved his name in the hills just for fun or to annoy Stanton (both) ?

Nice one 👍

Who was he riding with at the end there?

Hi. It's Fabrice Valéri, his friend and sponsor, co-founder of Oxbow sportswear.

Here’s one on the 500. I guess JMB loaded his bike up i his truck and headed to the track. How cool would that be to see JMB pull up beside you at the gas pump?

Paris Bercy ‘93. Bayle completely checked out in thus one, but some good racing between Stanton and McGrath.

It’s a little longer but some of the best JMB racing. Good stuff, especially the 500s

Three of the best to ever do it, and JMB is running away from them but looks like he’s on a trail ride. I feel lucky that I got to see him race in person a couple of times at the San Diego SX.
