Sweet looking bike. Even has a seat that may actually be comfy. That's the one thing that always bugged me, their seats were either too hard or too soft and you could feel the frame. I really hope their 2strokes are this way next year.

I'm not sure that KTM plans on entirely abandoning their linkless designs. I think you may see the link on the 350 only, and they'll retain the linkless on smaller displacement MXers and off-road models.

I was told that depending on this years 350F results etc, all remaining bikes will be linkage bound for 11'?

I was also anti no-link for a while, but then I rode a few that were set up right and it really doesn't matter. Even on the new 450, several magazines commented that the shock was actually really good, even on acceleration bumps where they always suffered. In talking to a factory guy that rode both, he said it just comes down to set-up and most of their racers didn't notice a difference between either. I honestly think it's just for marketing to get rid of the bad rep that they've had with the linkless design over the past few years. Although now some of the suspension companies might have an easier time valving them since their seemed to be only a few that really knew what they were doing with the linkless.

ive heard the same thing they are just a little more finicky than the linkage but when done right they are just as good

MXA's head to head test with last years winner the 09 KX450 but the new 2010 KX450 and the 2010 KTM beat it hands down, might even be the first year the KTM 450 wins the entire 450 shootout.....very excited to see KTM finally win one.

I wonder if this is a race version or a standard version?
If its standard it has some really nice things- like carbon fiber hubs and after market muffler....
I wonder why they have ground away a wee piece on the bottom outside of the lower triple clamp?

Could become as popular as the '81 RM125X... very nice. Love the double cradle frame..very 'works' looking. Please ditch the white rear fender, orange was better..

I doubt anyone could honestly say they notice a difference or are hindered by the current KTM suspension unless you are a current National number.
If you can explain it to me, I would love to hear it.

A friend of mine who switched from an '08 250SX-F to an '09 YZ250f has told me many time he was far more confident on his Katoom suspension than the Yammie. Both bikes done by the same shop. He is very fast and held a national number for a few years.

Would be cool to see KTM lead the way in the MX industry.. The first brand to make a 350 and one of the few still pushing 2 strokes. Seems to be the only brand giving riders what they want! Or listening to feedback. Fingers crossed Alessi does some damage on this thing!

Seriously you guys complaining about the 100cc smaller engine, it WILL be as powerful as any 450 on the market, it will be VERY competitive with any 450 on the market....you still haven't realized that with a 350 there is room to grow and develop the engine to make more HP with a 450 you simply cannot do that because they are too powerful already thus you get a overweight engine that receives minimal updates from year to year and cannot use new advances in ignition porting etc.

The 350 will allow tuners from the factory to williams motowerks to make updates and extract more power out of them. I'll bet you 90% of Pro Circuit's engine work is for 250f's and not even relavent for the 450 market......PLUS there is that lighter weight vs HP advantage a 350 would have the bike will be more than competitive for 2010 ....stop hating on KTM for pushing the limits of what riders want, this bike will be a sucess and when the Japanese see that (even though they won't admit it) they will convert to a 350 as well.

KTM is paving the way for the future and don't think for a minute that the "Big 4" aren't already testing a 350 to compete, KTM just had the balls to release it FIRST. Which has always been that way, a european brand will coin a new innovative idea and the Japanese will copy it refine it and make it better. They have been doing it for YEARS and the 350 will be no different. Mark my words the 450 class within 5 years will be a 350 class weather you think im full of shit or not.

Of course not, it's a 4 stroke. Sweet bike though, and KTM gives you a most excellent 2-stroke option. Kudo's to them for thinking of all of us motoheads.
