1/26/2012 11:05am Ok i have just started racing again after over 3 years out and have lost track on what is the best riding gear. I was looking at buying some Alpinestar Tech 10's mainly as i have some Aplinestar boots for on the road and they are so comfy and i feel really safe in them. What do you guys recommend...

11/24/2009 10:13am Thanks a lot for the replies. Even though i have been racing for a fair number of years i realise we can all have our bad habits so wondered if i had got into a habit of too much rear brake. Cheers guys

11/23/2009 3:46pm Ok what about in a normal racing situation sorry with no braking problems - what sort of percentage of braking would be done with the rear brake? I use way more rear brake than front on sand tracks but i understand i may not be riding correctly. Thanks

11/28/2008 5:15am that was the bike he used at the des nations at budds creek which was caught in all the trouble with customs etc. it was only carbon fibre covers on the frame purely for the looks.

seems that the Gaernes are the way to go maybe. Ozy thanks for pointing out the bit about knee braces!! Thats something which i want to get in the near future so thats something to think about when buying the boots. As for the neck brace well...

i was going to wait until the end of the year and get some deal at the shows but im also thinking that its better buying now and being safe. My current boots have no support and feel really flimsy
