Tom is one hell of a rider but even with his talent and MX2 title, I’m speculating he will have a hard time with the heavy tracks and the heat and humidity.
Vialle will be fastest qualifier in a few races before the race lines develop, but it will be Hunter’s year in 2023.
I think it's gonna be Justin Cooper's year. Dude's been training the past 2 months just for outdoors, and we saw in 2021 and at Mxon what he's capable of when he's at full fitness. Hunter, imo, lacks a little bit of raw speed outdoors based on the past 2 years, and Jo's been pretty inconsistent and also just coming off an injury. Vialle is a big question mark. He was by far the fastest in Europe, but we'll see if he can fully adjust.
He was not by far the fastest in europa....jaco geerts was just as fast
I disagree. Vialle will adapt. A real threat for the title. Watch this space.

DeCal Works Huge Plastic Inventory of UFO and Polisport kits.
Euros loves US tracks. He will have a lot of fun riding those tracks. Podium at least.
I can hardly wait, early on it should be a 5, or 6 man show.
Great starter.
4 overalls n n box every week
I think his biggest problem will be rebuilding his confidence after hitting the ground so much during supercross. That could happen with a couple good results, especially if his starts come back.
There are a lot of fast 250 riders who could actually win a moto or even an overall, but only Hunter, Shimoda, Cooper, Martin and Vialle can win the title.
Don't count out a multi-time world champion. 128 is very fast.
I m sure he ll be a constant top 5 and better rider. BUT he is on an austrian bike- thats for sure not the bike to have! If they get these bikes dialed in he even might be in the title hunt. But i dont believe KTM will get it done in a couple of weeks
flashback to photoshop
If Jett were there I’d say he’s not the favorite. But he won’t be, so in my opinion, he is.
4th-5th place in points behind:
jmart
cooper
hunter
Here or behind
Edit replaced hampshire with Shimoda
Shimoda had Hunter covered last year. Allot of fast guys that got pace over Tom and Hunter. Justin Cooper is coming in under the Radar and from what I've seen he should win this Coming MX championship.
Head to head last year between Jo and Hunter, it was 7-5 in Jo’s favour. They were fairly evenly matched in my opinion. I look forward to seeing them race each other hard again.
Throw in Cooper and Vialle, as well as JMart and RJ here and there, and we should have a great season!
Who are the “Allot of fast guys that got pace over Tom and Hunter.”???
RacerX has pics of him at Glen Helen this week. Any word on how he did on the stop watch compared to the others there?
I'm excited for Motocross!
Better than he did in Supercross.
He'll win motos and a few overalls this season. Don't think he'll get a championship this year, but will finish in the top 5, possibly top 3. 🤔
Pit Row
He showed glimpses in supercross, his starts were great, his corner speed was ridiculous.. he just did t get the whoops dialled and was not as good at pushing through the rhythms.. I can’t wait to see that raw speed outdoors though!
Call me crazy, but I think he will be an immediate contender and threat for the title. SX was a learning experience for him, but outdoors is his specialty. I think the title will go down to 3 riders: Cooper, Hunter and Vialle.
With the huge difference between the rough and rutted GP tracks and the smoother American tracks it will be very different.
But I think he will be consistent and running top 5 scoring valuable points.
Top 5,a few podiums, maybe a win, that‘s it for his first year.
Tom vialle is about as good as jaco geerts and he rode a 450 ( mxdn) once last year and then immediately won his heat... race from tomac and in race 1 he was 2 behind tomac at 3 seconds.....zo yes maybe tom vialle can finish in the top 10 🙄🙄😁
Gerts looked pretty damm good at mxdn on usa soil.
I have no doubt he will be in chip hunt.
Will win few motos and overalls.
He is going to compete for the top five and wins right off the bat. I do think he is going to run into a couple of rounds where the heat and humidity is fairly shocking for year one and that will be the difference in the title and a top 3-4 finish.
In races where the track really breaks down and the heat is manageable, he is going to shine.
vialle will win races.....far closer to the front than in SX!
Why is everyone acting like heat is going to be a shock, and something new? I guess Indonesia, in July for two MXGP rounds is easy?
Vialle is rocking the mustache/mullet combo now. I'd say he is in it to win it!
Vialle has a legit shot at the title. 2x world champ, 22 or 23 years old and has been training in Florida.
I think the biggest hurdle for him is going to be the one-day format, but he’ll adjust fairly quickly. The heat in my opinion won’t be as big of a factor as some think. He won Indonesia last year, and that’s equatorial heat which is a different animal all together.
