Pretty cool RedBull saw the marketing value in Carson's unconventional approach to the sport.

The kid is extremely talented and has a great imagination - I'm sure RedBull and Carson will come up with some really cool content.

Think of him as the second coming of the content they were doing with Ryan Sipes. Showing off how multi-talented the kid can be.

That guy deserves it. Watching a supercross main event doesn't get me half as excited to go ride as watching a 10 second instagram clip of CB rippping a random roached out bike around his back yard.

Good for him!  He is a good pick to sponsor.

We saw him at horn rapids 2-3 weeks ago and he had the new helmet on. Told him I wouldn’t run to vital and tell everyone and he said he doesn’t mind either way lol

he also said he would be riding Washougal national on a YZ250

seems like a good fit for redbull

I thought he seemed like he had similar marketing value as Axell Hodges, but for an older crowd, because I love his little track and all the videos of him riding old bikes.

He is the nicest guy on the planet in person as well.  Always happy to shake your hand, chat about racing, the future, the past - he comes from a rooted and cool family.

Saw him there last weekend and was wondering…of course I only got to see the helmet for a moment as he lapped me once every 3-4 laps, lol…

I rode the vet practice so I could watch him haha (also I’m a slow af vet rider) it’s insane how fast guys like him can go and still get lapped once or even twice in a 30+ 2 national moto

This is 100% accurate. I see Carson at the different tracks here around the PNW pretty frequently, he is always more than willing to hang out and talk about whatever with whoever goes up to him. The dude is fun to watch ride for sure, he rips. It's even fun when he puts like 5 laps on me in a 10 minute session.

"Random Roached Out Bikes"

Well, sure, you'll see him on some well worn old bikes at times, but I doubt many are ever truly "Roaches".

He's probably ridden more "Exotica" than  many a group of factory riders ever have.

Being part of the BBR family, has you on some truly mind boggling machinery, from the day you first get on a bike, I'd say.

He's a really good Red Bull rider selection, I think.

I'd love to see Red Bull highlight a  bunch of the BBR builds that have been done over the decades.

Red Bull with a lot of questionable moves in the US. First that 85 kid, now Carson? Cool content yes, but no results and just insta fame? Is this the new direction? What about supporting real up and coming racers with potential?

Red Bull has ALWAYS sponsored more than just hard core racers.  Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but the Marketing Team at RedBull has built one of the most recognizable brands in the world....I tend to think they know what they are doing.

I agree with the fact that he is a super nice guy and a great representative for any brand.  I had a special moment with my 6 year old son (at the time last year) where he wanted Carson's autograph but was embarrassed to go up to him and ask him so he was standing there about 100 ft. away.  Carson saw my son in his CB910 shirt and came over to him and talked to him for a bit and gave him some stickers and a poster and asked my son about his bikes and things.  My son brings it up often as to how much it meant to him.

I'm glad there are opportunities to make a living in this sport beyond just the traditional supercross/nationals path.

Companies starting to realize better coverage for their brand and products with riders like CB.    Many of the “racers” that are pro’s of today.  Not always the most personable.  Limited TV time.   The riders with VLogs definitely help their sponsors.  And IG accounts with worthwhile post.   Sure can reach a broader audience and demographic.

I believe Carson Brown fits the bull better than the fmx / freerider crowd etc.

He rides ANY machine, and can compete at the highest level.

He rides weird machines faster than anyone ever has - KDX 200 etc

His Dad owns BBR. It doesn't get anymore core than that sorry

That is exactly how he always comes across in any given video, and it's cool how so many people are always here or there to confirm he's the real deal with stories like that.

Big fan of it all from watching him ride supercross or nationals to ripping a KDX in the backyard to remembering or seeing new crazy BBR builds (that new YZ85/125 hybrid is all-time) to his Mrs going racing and putting in work.

Those folks are pure undiluted moto.

Hey there is another thread about a letter of recommendation, maybe have that guy write you one so you can get hired as the head of marketing for Red Bull. They sure need a new direction, maybe you're the guy.

Red Bull’s first athletes in dirt bikes were freestyle guys…

i agree about Carson being a good fit for Red Bull. He fits the look of Red Bull. That company has always been part of the “off the wall” type of events (flugtag and soap box racing etc). The 85 kid, I still haven’t figured out tho

yes freestyle guys, but the very best back then. took your brother years to finally get a red bull helmet after winning x games and so on. they always just took the absolute top guys and now it seems they only take instagram heroes.
