I hope they don’t take any of the bottom end out of the 24 YZ250F.  Like some one mentioned above, like riding a mini 450.  Good fit for older guys like me.  I will say this, my 23 Honda 250R is good down low.  Not as good as Yamaha, but not bad and still revs.  With that said I’m not a high rev guy.   Even as good as the Honda is, I’m still more comfortable making laps on my 2014 YZF.

The thing I like most about my old YZF and it may be me getting old and slow.  It’s very forgiving to ride, corner, exit corners etc compared to my Honda.  My Honda will turn on a dime and carve, it’s very precise.  As long as it’s being ridden precise, rider position proper technique etc.  It didn’t take me but a couple of laps to figure that out in my case.   My old Yamaha seems very forgiving in turns etc.  I think one of the 250 shootouts mentioned something similar comparing the two.

Hope is not a strategy lol, but I hope this fall 24 YZF’s can be bought.  This last fall come bike buying time I couldn’t have found a 23 Yamaha with a gun to my head, bought a Honda.

The Honda is a bike for riders that are fast twitch and like to use a lot of body English. It’s a scalpel. The Yamaha is a butcher knife (in a good way)

Is the 250 fx Cross country bike changing as well or only the mx bike?

Very true statement about how precise the Honda is, or needs to be ridden.  Even though my 2023 Honda sets better/easier to shift feels more comfortable etc.  My old 2014 kick start YZ250F is easier to ride over all, at least for me.  With that said the power band on the Honda is nothing to sneeze at.  The Honda is much more friendly to clean air filter, map on the bars etc.  For the younger fast guys, I’d guess the Honda is the ticket, it will carve.   For old slow guys like me the Yamaha is probably a better fit.  As much as I don’t want to come fall will sell my 23 Honda and get a new Yamaha.  Unless I get a wild hair and buy a Beta 300 RX!!!

Someone said there is demo for importers this week in France or something like that. Also said it will follow 450f updates.

It’s a Yamaha. It will have a great engine, great suspension and now turn well. Clearly Yamaha went a little overboard with the sag setting. But the bike will blow hair pieces and skirts away

Looks like 23’s with the new 450 front fender and number plate

Probably just their '23 WSX race bikes and they decided to use the '23 450 front end. Like mentioned, Club did it in pre-season to some of their 250s also. But none of this seems to have anything to do with the '24s.

Last year Yamaha didn't reveal the 2023 YZ450F until mid August so I suspect they'll do the same for the 2024 YZ250F

Yamaha's standard release dates for the next years models has always been July. Then dealerships getting them by mid-August. I imagine they'll be back on track this year and we'll see the press release in a couple weeks.

I was hot to trot wanting to get back on a Yamaha a while back.  But I haven’t given this 2023 Honda in the garage a chance.  Haven’t been able to ride in a while, nerve issue with my thumb.  Along with I tried my very best to pull my index finger off the same hand planting a big ass tree.  Heat index is 110 most days, not the best track days, at least not for me.

It’s alway fun looking/reading about new models.  To bad the 2024 KX250 didn’t get the same treatment as the 450.  If so might have had a green bike in the garage this fall.

If I had to guess, the FX will get the updates next year, based on how the X and FX model cycles have been lately.
