23, 21 or 9, and take your 250 pick, there are a lot of fast young guys
Sexton, Degaan and Hampshire
I had the same question after seeing Eli go out last night. But Deagan over j coop? Think we better see how the outdoor season plays out first.
also what bike would sexton ride if he switches teams? Obviously it’s way to early for all of this but it’s an interesting subject.

jcoop getting married this year. cant go
You’re so right, totally forgot about that. 👍
Maybe some riders from Peuta Rico are available!
As hit and miss and Anderson’s season has been I’m not sure he’s as such an obvious choice as I would have thought coming into the season.
Sexton is obvious and lots of good 250 choices. If AC can turn it on outdoors he would be awesome. Realistically I think it will be Barcia, he will probably be back on the bike in a couple months max.
Sexton MX1 and either Barcia or Webb Open. The other on MX2. Webb still wants another shot at the Chamberlain trophy.
Sexton, Barcia, RJ (RJ on the 250). We know what we have in Sexton. Barcia has been really fast the second half of the season and we will know what he has in the outdoors, which I expect podiums. RJ is your best 250F rider outside of JCoop, who won't be going. If Barcia is hurt, send AC - you know you will get 1000% effort from AC and he is getting better and better. His speed is improving all the time.
Early guess is Sexton (C) J Coop, and Barcia.
Sexton, Barcia, Deegan
" DangerBoy takes on the World and helps team USA secure the win in the last moto, PASSING HERLINGS IN THE LAST LAP "
Can I dream a bit?
Won’t matter because you’ll be behind the Aussies anyway.
Now if we can just find someone to kneecap Herlings and a couple of Frenchies…..
Beside the Lawrence brothers, what is Australias best 3rd rider for the team? Evans seems like a weak link right now.
Dean Ferris is looking pretty good.
how is Jed doing?
Cooper is out, he gets married that weekend
He’s going good too, but looks like he’s still building to me. May be back in fine form by the time MXdN comes around.
If everyone stays healthy through the Aussie titles, there could be more than a few options for the third rider.
Pit Row
I tell ya, I like the Aussie chances. I feel like it will be all France on their home soil, though. This is going to be a tough year.
Picking today? I'd go Sexton, Barcia and RJ.
But with the craziness of this season, I have no idea who will be in the mix after SMX finals...
Will Sexton even go if he will be riding the KTM next year ?
I think Sexton will still do it, they moved MXoN up and yes, it's a couple of days past his current contract but I'd imagine Honda would still do it with him since as a thank you for winning the Supercross title (and potentially outdoors). He seemed very motivated at the thought of defending the last time I checked.
Whos going to the MXoN when the SMX championship in LA is 4 days prior to it?
Some serious logistics challenges for sure...
Going to both sure would be a fun week!
My pre MX guess is going to be ...
MX1: Chase
MX2: Hampshire
Open: Webb
Cooper is out.
Ferris, Clout, Tanti going good but Webster has had such shit luck so far but is still my pick for the best in Aust. He went down first corner Appin and set the fastest lap coming back from dead last thru traffic. Was 52 secs in front at Wodonga before his bike malfunctioned. Won superpole at Maitland but got “shot by a rock” to the arm in the second lap Moto 1 leaving a crater in his arm.
Sexton, Barcia, RJ
How about waiting a few rounds outdoors then figuring out who's riding well outdoors.
