Would be cool to see Kitchen at PC. With Shimoda being out there, they have a potential race winner with him. What will Forkner do?

Forker. I believe he is staying put at PC Kawi for another year.

So I read somewhere, maybe here, that the rumor is HRC is dropping the factory 250 team once the both L bros move up. If that happens who picks up the team? Does FC get it back? Also, if true, how does if affect Shimoda?

So they will keep Hymas, and Shimoda if he signs under the factory tent. But the plan is to begin shifting more backing to Phoenix Honda starting in 2025.

I'm thinking that translates into Forkner not having a bunch of offers from outside of PC.

Jo Shimodo & HCR would be a great match...and would give Big Red a swinging chance at building themselves back into the powerhouse they used to be.

I think Jo to HRC is awesome. The problem is where does he go once it's time to move up to the 450?

HRC Honda seem to be set with the Lawrence brothers for the next few years, so there isn't really an option for him to move up to a Honda 450 ride. Unless of course they decide to run three bikes, but when was the last time they ran three 450s?

KTM has a seat available and he could easily slot into a 450 ride when it's time, but IMO, a Japanese manufacturer letting him go would be stupid for obvious reasons.

I thought he was a good fit at Kawasaki and could have moved up in 2025, but maybe he wants something new.

I'm a fan regardless of where he lands, so I wish him well.

If Honda is going to spend money for a 3rd 450 it would likely only be for a Japanese rider. Especially one with family ties to the company.

With talk of Sexton moving on, and Jo moving in riding the HRC 250 in 2024.

I feel not only will Jett move up to 450, but also Hunter.

That will leave Hymas to partner Jo.

Unfortunatly Colt will have to find another ride, maybe a production Honda with HRC assistance?

I know it was a long time ago, but Honda does have a history of letting Champions walk away.

If not, there’s a good chance of him becoming his generation’s Robbie Reynard. Blazing fast at times when healthy, but more snakebit than anyone deserves to be.

I’m wondering if HRC Japan would step in to keep Jo on a Honda 450. Look how long they footed the bill for Tomita to race out of the factory truck in the states, and he only had a couple of races where he finished inside the top 20.

I looked it up for the fun of it.

22 of 38 races in the top 20.
8 of 38 races in the top 15.

Best Result: 10th

I do see your point, though. Shimoda is not even in the same league. IMO, the most prestigious Japanese motorcycle manufacturer would be stupid to pass on him and/or not make room for a third 450 bike when the time comes.

It’s too bad that Star didn’t get Sexton as Tomac’s heir apparent. No energy drink issues, etc. Sexton is going to be in the hunt for the next 5+ years, indoors and out.

Well safe to say the tornado that hit last night will shake up the off-season. If I am Star I want no part of Webb again imo. Wish Chase would go blue because he could do some serious damage on that bike. Hopefully the wheels start turning and the ink isn’t set on the ktm deal
