It was fun to have a race in the middle of a beautiful afternoon on Cinco de mayo. Congrats to Cartwright. He had the fastest lap times throughout the main event from what I saw, he was 6 seconds out front when Clason moved into second. I didn't have the sound on but it it looked pretty good. You could tell the riders were figuring out the track that made for some interesting racing.

Agree, he sounded different.  He sounded a little lispy.  Must have been because he was on a phone.

Can we talk about a janky little side show race that the running order column/ timing is better than actual one in main sx races? it flicked between time behind leader to current lap time at a perfect rate and highlighted when a rider crossed the finish line. Man I wish the ama actually put some effort in to this shit.

You understand it's literally the same system they use on Saturdays, right? At least according to Weege. The text was different, but I saw it go to 1-lap-down for second place at least once.

It definitely needs to get better on Saturday nights, but I saw the same issues during this race.

I know it the same data they are using, but they did a much better job of displaying time behind the leader and current lap times ect. Showing how little effort they put in to timing

Vurb was in charge of it I believe. Everything they do is good.

i think its kinda bullshit we didnt get to include Checkerz in the Finish Line Air Wheelie Contest.... Wink

Some may not know, but he raced pro.

Maybe next year Chris?  #dontcallitacomeback?   I know racetech can master an airwheelie setting to win GOLD!

LOL,  could you imagine if airwheelies made it into something contest related, HAHAH!!!!!

I was included as the host and hype man. The fact that we raised $2831 for an air wheelie contest on the parade lap is both hilarious and magnificent. I can tell you Mason Kerr is stoked this evening and there have been a ton of laughs building up to it this whole week.

I hope someone got a view you can see his skid plate. 3A16FA6F-7786-4E51-834A-21935D2B2B5B

My buddy and I watched it live and enjoyed it all.
The camera work and all other technical stuff was pretty damned good for a "janky radio show race".

So cool for all these guys to get a chance at a good payday.

The only bummer was the podium audio, but I'll watch the recordings of those later.

Big thumbs up to all involved, seriously cool.

Do these riders end up with a massive advantage 2moro over the other 10th-20th places riders now they have done an extra practice and 10 min race?

I feel like they will have the upper hand on others like moranz, harlan and starling and will be closer to guys like chiz, mcelrath and Josh hill

Press day they don't do the whole track.

This was a full practice session and a race. Much more time on the full track.

Lap the field

He would also buckle his boots after the gate drops and let everyone go before taking off and lapping the entire field.

It's great that he does this but 2 years in a row the wildcards clean up. Maybe he needs to rethink the wildcard idea.

Or they will be more wore out from extra intensity at high elevation? Harlan is out so won't bother him. Most of this guys may just mail it in now because they made more Friday than they will Saturday.

Happy for Cartwright. Working full time and being a professional racer capable of making main events on the weekend is pretty bad ass.

Agreed.  But, didn't Cartwright let someone pass him in the last turn of his Heat Race to get into the Privateer Challenge?     Isn't that cheating???

Cartwright made the main event that night via the LCQ so he didn't get any LCQ points.

And the Pulp privateer race is under the Steve's Motorcycle Association rulebook, not the American Motorcycle Association rulebook.
