Ping Sad Ken Didn’t Thank Him

Is it at all possible Ken was told it was Mitch’s bike and didn’t know Ping was involved?

Ping being this way makes me sad as the Ask Ping articles from racer x were some of my favorite pieces ever. But that guy is long gone.

When there’s a beef between two people, do you always hear only one side of the story and assume that’s the whole truth? Because I certainly don’t.

in my experience, when one party is particularly vocal about a situation, it’s because they’re trying to convince everyone that’s how it went down. When in all honesty what they’re saying only contains a fraction of truth they’re using in an attempt to justify their own actions.

After hearing the piazza rant, of weeks of verbal abuse and stalking with no proof even though others had stepped in to de-escalate the situation. This video is on my list of "things I don't believe to be true."

I am not a Ping fan, BUT I can side with him on this, I’d be irked if I didn’t get a thank you as well. It’s principle. But I wouldn’t take it public and stir the pot lol

i didn't hear anything wrong in the vid. context was someone asked him. hes not trying to make a big deal of it. Kenny is a little squirrely too. we know this. he has a giant star tattoo, lashes out at fans, and wears his heart on his sleeve.

Dude I agree. I really liked his content, his knowledge, and how he presented bike tests in a way the every day dude could understand it. And I thought the whisky throttle show was so good, still is. But he is not that guy any longer and it is more difficult to vibe with Ping and his content due to his positions outside of moto. Church and state need to remain separate if you will.  And as far as Kenny not thanking him, well, dude, that is not the reason you help someone or lend a hand. You do it because you want to, not because you want or need to be acknowledged for doing so. That is good deeds 101 man (see what I did there?). Come on!

all fair points, but i think the rub was that there was bad blood between them BEFORE ping lent him the bike and ping felt like KROC couldn't see good for the bad so to speak. KROC: "even tho you did somethign nice for me im not going to acknowledge it because you offended me before". that IS, or can be, a narcisstic trait. keeping score like that. 

but really theyre all narcs. and narcs don;t like each other. ping is a narc, matthes is a narc. so THEY dont get along. and so on and so on. matthes is best friends with JT$ because he's pretty much the opposite. that's how narcs work.

Ping can't even make 1 comparison right. Yall do not have the same number of supercross championships. 

If what Ping says is true about all the work he did to get the bike set up for Ken, and I have no reason to doubt him, then Ping is entirely correct on his logic and has the right to speak his mind.  The two championships comment sounded a little petty, but no one is perfect, especially when they are upset. 
 

Some people have pointed out negative comments Ping allegedly made about Ken.  I have no idea if Ping made any comments about Ken. But if it is true that Ken is upset at Ping, then Ken should not accept Ping’s work. Just say no thank you. But if he does accept the help, be nice and say thank you.  

For the record, I like Ping’s work. I don’t listen to all the podcasts, just too long. I haven’t noticed an objectionable level of politics.  And I really like Roczen, his riding, and his tenacity overcoming his challenges.  So no bias.

How long ago was straight rhythm Ping? Kenny been living rent free in his head for months. It's made him that angry that he had to made a video about it 6months later. Weather he thanked him or not this is pathetic 

I was about to post this,glad I read thru post's 

I'll always respect a man who speaks his mind right or wrong, ping maybe right or whatever I just don't see the point of making a video out of it, what's it prove?

If a dude is so busy with his 3 jobs why offer to do so much? I have a bike anyone wanna ride it? Yeah cool I can't help set the deal up cause I'm so busy with my 3 jobs and mentioning that I've got 3 jobs, but here's the bike.. Wait, what do you say??

That said I was kinda siding with Ping, a quick thanks for the bike wouldn't have been too much to ask, but as others have said he might not have known it was his bike or the effort he apparently went to..

Buuut then he took a sharp 'right' to the low road and took a number of unnecessary personal shots and made a dumb comparison in an attempt to put down his entire career.. Soo yeah that guy sucks (as a person not a rider haha)

Roczen is the one who's highly competitive in all the major series in US, so who cares what the others say. Just sayin. He's got more "pull" than the other dudes.

I’m sure ping did a lot of running around, but do you think Ken actually had any idea? He gets told there is a bike to ride, ok cool, shows up and rides.

Ping upset he didn’t share or like any of the content lol. I’m pretty sure Ken isn’t scrolling through IG at ALL his mentions and likes and comments. Just the people that pay him, contractually. Especially after an event like that. It seems he picks when he wants to go on IG and fire some comments away, probably while he’s taking a shit. Then goes back to life. 
 

He seemed to leave that event with a good relationship and a ton of respect for Mitch, he said he was so stoked to work with him. Some people leave an impact, some are roaches.

I have a feeling whiskey throttle show, lost quite a few people who watched after the Ken deal.  When Langston left, the whole thing went downhill in my opinion, and then this top it all off.

I have not watched the video in question. My comment was about the public image ping has created. And as an American, I can choose not to appreciate it. 

He’s not impressed with Ken Roczen?  Roczen’s arm practically fell off and he came back and won.  He’s a badass

Leave all the baggage out of the story and that is the bottom line.

For how involved Kenny's agent is I wouldn't be surprised if Kenny didn't know what went into acquiring the bike, or whoever's bike it was. I highly doubt Roczen was personally calling around asking for a YZ250. I also wouldn't think he would ride Pings bike, if he had an issue with Ping. Ping says Kenny knew, I cant refute it, we will probably never know.

No idea why Kenny wouldn't just buy a bike, he could've probably gotten it done up for free, and sold it for a profit.

Overall I really enjoy the Whiskey Throttle show, even though I enjoy Ping less and less. I agree on some of his politics, not all, and I am even tired of hearing about the stuff I agree with. I intentionally avoid politics and its a slight bummer when I have to hear about it in a moto show, regardless of which way the politics are leaning. It also drives me nut when he added those other shows onto his feed, if I wanted to listen to them I would subscribe to them.

Ping's like, I wanted this to all blow over, but hey, what's this email I just got? 

Ping is one of the nicest guys you will talk to at the track, but I think Fox News fried his brain and I wish he would leave his political crap at home.
