Guys,

This helmet has topped my list of helmets after all these years.   If you are on the fence…..get one.   I also watched my friend take a disturbing digger in one and come out fine.    I’m a fan.   That is all

Really, the very top, huh? Would you be willing to answer a few questions before I run out and grab one?

1. Please list any and all specific methods of research used during your study.

2. Please list your familiarity with the human anatomy, with a focus on the eight cranial bones, cranial nerves, orbits cavity and nasal cavity.

3. What specific instruments were used during the testing phases of your research?

4. Was an engineering firm used or consulted at any time prior, during or post study. If so please list below.

5. Last, at any point did you receive compensation from the manufacturer or any entity affiliated with the manufacturer prior or post experiment?

I apologize if you find the questioning odd or invasive. I just want to ensure the information provided is from a reputable source with expertise in all fields needed to make such bold claims. I mean, could you imagine purchasing a piece of equipment intended to protect the human brain based on someone’s uneducated and  ignorant opinion defecated in an online forum. Not to mention the legal ramifications the original poster could face in the unfortunate event of injury. Anyhow, can’t wait to get my new helmet! Thanks pal!

Luckily my son has not had to test his M10 and hopefully we will put it on the shelf when he's done with it without a scratch. We switched from 6D to the Alpinestars and IMO I think the quality of the helmet is better than the 6D hands down. Just the fitment of the inner pads and finished product is pretty solid. I can't tell you if the safety aspects of the M10 is better or worse than the ATR-2 but I have no regrets of switching brands as of yet.

It's a really nice Helmet and a loooooong way from my youth days with a Moto3 that I thought was the bomb as a kid.

I have one of these helmets so I believe I’ve paid for the right to make fun of it on the internet.

Great looking and feeling helmet. Safety is hopefully good but who the hell actually knows since nobody will actually pony up the dough to independently test these things and publish the data.

BUT, there are a lot of 40’s being poured out over these visors!

Alipinstar?

Must be the knock off version of Alpinestars. I wouldn't put much trust into it. Laughing

If you keep a helmet for a long time make sure to check rivet heads that attach strap to helmet. Sweat salt can weaken, seen ‘‘em pop off , usually a quad rider

I love the look and fit of mine. But I must say I’m a bit disappointed in quality, I have about 15 rides in mine and already had the strap button break. My previous Airoh never broke in the 100’s of rides it went through. But simple quality issues do happen, hopefully they will take care of it.

A post full of grammatical errors and poor structure singing praises of a device meant to prevent brain damage?

Despite all of your seemingly immodest and disrespectful questions, ("defecated"?) the fact remains that NO helmet can prevent concussions, spinal or cranial fractures if you hit your head hard enough.  The helmet just helps soften the blow.

The M-10 and M-8 helmets are some of the best and most tested helmets available to dirt bike racers, but they are not miracle devices and you can get a head or neck injury crashing while wearing one, just like any other high quality helmet.

That said, stop being a pompous Dickhead...

I really like this helmet.   You can try mine on next time at the track if you want.   This is the helmet Dan had on with his crash a couple weeks ago.

Mine also broke after just a few rides.

There has been a rash of those unfortunately.  6D uses the exact same button and had some fail too.  Astars should take good care of you.  Most of the ones I have seen were broken right out of the box so I'd say it was just a bad batch of buttons.
