When I saw that jump the first thing I thought was "how big is that jump that Roczen needs a tow in to jump it?" haha

As for bagging on riders who don't win every week. This place is crazy. That is what I like about F1, they seem to appreciate every driver and recognize that just being good enough to be in that seat deserves praise and respect.

But what can you do?

Kenny absolutely sent it on this.

As long as you have some decent jumping skills/control, find someone doing the jump you're wanting to do and pace their speed following them. That looks to be what Ken is doing with Bereman.

Decent jumping skills and grapefruit size testicles.

Focus on having fun before you're fighting for a podium strikes me as misplaced priorities.  I am a huge fan of Roczen's but could not me more unimpressed and disappointed.

Ever hear of Jean Michele Bayle? He spent as much time play riding as he did pounding laps. Some of the best bike skills ever. Most facility raised kids today would do well to spend one day a week just play riding and exploring the limits of the dirt bike and learning new techniques.

Ryan Villopoto never play rode. Stated it himself, I guess his dad didn't want to waste the time, fuel, tires.

That is the new style. Travis talks about taking AC riding and Travis is just being Travis and he said something along the lines of AC was getting physically nervous that he wasn't pounding laps with a stopwatch.

Another thing about Villo is he retired early from burnout. Hmmmmmmm

Travis also ruined his shoulder while training in a swimming pool when he decided to get super serious.

And Chad Reed hurt his shoulder playing pool but if I was a Team Manager I would prefer my rider(s) not airing it out like that given the history of top racers getting hurt playing.  DV and the Transworld photo shoot while he was leading the 250SX class is another example.

Totally at different points of their career. I see your point but at this late stage of Roczens's career, I'm happy to see him enjoying riding.

I understand where you're coming from and get it.   I am as big of KR94 fan as they come and given his injury history and beyond Hurclean recoveries twice just want him to finish out his racing career focused on getting back on the podium

Spoonguy-Ken has yet to get an overall podium finish but considering how long Tomac, Webb and Sexton plus Sexton have been on their motorcycles I think Ken has done a phenomenal job this year and would like to think the best is yet to come.

100% agree my friend, of course winning a main is going to be a tall order. No word yet on him racing outdoors either is there?

Oh no doubt! That’s why it cracks me up so much. He even doubled down and said he’s going to go back with a tape measure to prove it is but never commented on it ever again.

It’s so dumb but I love to reference it when people are talking about huge jumps. Grinning

Yeah, no one who's been successful at racing has ever had fun on their dirt bike...oh wait:

That’s the very same stuff I think of when I see KR floating over that booter. Btw, MC is still a crazy jumper these days…even in a SxS.

He started 18 th finished ,7 th at the wk end . Qualified 2nd . Finished second in the heat . How is this rolling around . I hate this crap . All we here at the start of the year is how stacked the field is . Yet if roczen ,AP , AC , Anderson ,barica ,DF etc finish in 5 th to 10th it's said they had terrible rides .

Roczen didn't start 18th he started about 10th and was 8th after first lap and pretty much stayed around there til finishing 7th.

Really? I've seen plenty of people and threads that Hamilton should retire for example. Or even the amount of people that were shitting on Rossi when he wasn't consistently winning anymore. I think you have these weird "fans" in every sport, just have to deal with it I guess.

I suggest you rewatch that start, he was out the back door.

Roczen seems to genuinely love riding his dirt bike. But looks like he isn't enjoying racing anymore, I mean look at his eyes on vital homepage, this image doesn't scream joy at all.
