Thanks for sharing! I've been rooting for Ken a while. Good to see him having fun.
I’d rather see Roczen pull back from Pro racing and make some cool content like this for the next few years then just roll around in 5th-10th and fade into a lackluster retirement. Dude obviously still enjoys riding, go have some fun.

That's a massive jump. And it looked moderately windy to boot. I can't stand hitting bigger jumps when its windy.......but I'm a wuss

X2. There were a specific couple days last spring that sketched me the hell out
Those were the days. The sport is too serious now for top, or any guys to do video shoots like they did in the Golden age of our sport. Well besides Kenny. Another thing to blame RC for! 😂
Colby Raha seems to be doing it, check him out if you haven’t. Dudes videos are insane.
He started 18 th finished ,7 th at the wk end . Qualified 2nd . Finished second in the heat . How is this rolling around . I hate this crap . All we here at the start of the year is how stacked the field is . Yet if roczen ,AP , AC , Anderson ,barica ,DF etc finish in 5 th to 10th it's said they had terrible rides .
Hopefully Larry Brooks doesn’t show up in his pickup and shut it down lol
I think he meant top racers.
Raha’s job is to do videos.
Freakin Godzilla jump..... Awesome
Man, that's really one massive jump! My buddy's brother got into higher jumping he would like that. We're installing the new shocks from 4Wheelonline onto my friend's Wrangler tomorrow. I'll show that vid to them.
Kid's an f'n stud. It's almost a modern day Pastrana vs Deegan rivalry between him and Hodges, with different back stories. Everyone knows Hodges was raised in a wealthy family with out really having to worry about much, his next door neighbor is/was McGrath. With that said the kid oozes talent, balls, and skill that money can't buy. His wheelie up a jump face to backflip and landing in a wheelie is one of the most impressive things I've ever seen performed on a dirtbike. Plus he has big balls. Then you have Raha, whose back story I'm not a 100% on so I don't want to release false details. But I think he raced moto when he was younger and then lost the funds to continue and started competing in bmx. But eventually got the itch to ride again and worked construction (Ala Seth Enslow) to buy a bike and is now imo the best freerider out there today. I give anyone who hits the quarter pipe respect but this guy is on another level. His urban videos are pretty damn badass as well. Again not knocking anybody who came from money, but I think he has a chip on his shoulder and less bike time than the others that makes him more impressive. Again money or not all these guys have to have balls and skill to do what they do. But he refuses to back down or lose, win or crash he's going for it.
What?
I did say top guys, but I don't think they are trying to ride with Raha and Hodges. Those 2 are on another level and the Factories bosses would have a heart attack if their guys went riding with them! 😂
My all time favorite video segment is "Crusty Demons of Dirt 2" called the "G-Spot." I used to drive by that place a few times when I was in Socal and would have killed to ride there. What a random group too in that segment. Emig, Mickey Dymond, Dr. Dubach, Jeremy Albrecht, Seth, and can't remember the rest but that place looked amazing.
It’s Vital… if ya not 1st ya washed up and should retire!!
Boom! Truths!
vital: Most stacked season ever, can’t wait!
also vital: Christian Craig is doing sh*t, he’s 8th in points! Kenny is 5th, he should retire!
This place is full of kooks!
Thank god Kenny isn't 2 positions further up, otherwise Anderson and Sexton would have to retire
Pit Row
I don't think Kenny is doing worse than anyone really figured, he has won a heat, I think he has gotten a podium. I don't think you can really expect more out of that combo of bike and rider. What looks bad for Mr. Craig is RJ Hampshire doing better than he has in basically a week of practice on the same scooter. That really pronounces Craig's deficiencies. If RJ never entered Daytona, not as many would be wondering about Mr. Craig's results. You better believe it is making Nate Ramsey wonder.
If he cased it, would he blame the bike?
This is what I posted as a reply on Twitter:
“Not nearly as tough as a SX rhythm section, in fact it looks fairly safe with a lot of room for error. That being said, there is no way in hell I’d ever come close to even considering it. Gun to my head jump that or give up riding. I would take up golf.”
Having fun didn't work so well Travis Pastrana's and Josh Hill's SX/MX racing careers. Travis blew out his knee before A1 free riding. Josh's backflips ending his career as a front runner and years later he's riding around in the back of the field.
Focus on having fun before you're fighting for a podium strikes me as misplaced priorities. I am a huge fan of Roczen's but could not me more unimpressed and disappointed.
Travis also ruined his shoulder while training in a swimming pool when he decided to get super serious.
Damn, 153 feet? Thats almost as big as AJ Catanzaro’s 160 foot jump!
Ever hear of Jean Michele Bayle? He spent as much time play riding as he did pounding laps. Some of the best bike skills ever. Most facility raised kids today would do well to spend one day a week just play riding and exploring the limits of the dirt bike and learning new techniques.
Totally at different points of their career. I see your point but at this late stage of Roczens's career, I'm happy to see him enjoying riding.
How does one work there way up to hit big booters? I struggle on the local main track with jumps over say 60+ ft in distance lol..but i also only ride twice to three times a month.
Kenny absolutely sent it on this.
He came up a bit short the first time he did it, clanked it pretty good. SX suspension saved him.
At least he's not retiring at age 26
This. “Guy who hasn’t ever won a SX title and generally finishes the season 2-5th is now 5th in points, let’s retire him!!!!”
Like people - do we want 5th-10th place to be a battle between Cade and one of the Hill Bros? And I like all three of those guys, but like chill out and let us keep as many great riders in the top 10 as possible.
