I thought Todd was fine last night. Much better than any of the rounds he did in 2022.
I thought he was pretty good. He constantly threw leads to Carmichael to expand on something or analyze it and Carmichael was just silent. So, after the dead air for a good 5 seconds, Harris just picked back up with the action.

Some of them do waddle at that but they have to walk the course which is about 7 miles each round, sometimes in 100 degree heat, in pants lol. I don’t look at a JoJo Keller or Stu Baylor and say dirt bikes require no athletic ability simply because they aren’t looking like Jett in his speed skating outfit.

Todd does alright, but I don’t think he’s as good as he used to be. One thing that really sticks out is he needs to work on rider names. “Nick Thrasher” “Justin Anderson” “Jason Barcia” are just a few I’ve heard since his return. I think if he put in a little work he’d be much better. He’s not terrible, just seems a bit rusty.

I’ve loved Todd Harris’ commentary since the 2002 season when Reed was bringing it. I thought he was outstanding then and brought a lot of professionalism to our sport. Still feel that way.
The topic headline for this thread is just so unnecessary. My guess is they all read what’s on here, so why have someone have to come here and see something so derogatory about them, whether an announcer or a rider. It’s like we have a lot of juvenile delinquents or burned out deadbeats on Vital and it’s not cool.

To avoid these conflicts I DVR (no stream) and ffwd through most everything with sound low. RC is the Goat, but his announcing is less than stellar. Emig, Stew, MC, RJ and the Gold standard DB all way way better. Until Weedge gets the play-by-play we are stuck. Harris, Leigh are no Art Eckman but ok. Lastly, who doesn't think Jett should be on the track with the 450's? Wasting his talent in regional class and could help Chase's cause big time. When you look back at the greats, no one considers lites titles. Until the class is combined into one it is a stepping stone. Jett has hit all the steps
