Any word on Marv?

I searched the forum and looked on the first couple pages and didn't see anything. So does anyone have any word on his injury or estimated return to racing?

I was wondering the same thing.

Also any updates on Ferrandis?

I reached out to someone today about this.

It is crazy that KTM were releasing weekly updates, then just went insanely quiet. The extent of his injury must be known now.

Kind of forgot about Marv. Dark, ML?

I think they would have pretty much the same info for the most part that LewisPhillips would. Marv is like the forgotten man.... kinda weird as he was the only KTM rider to get a Supercross win last year. It didn't sound like his injury was that bad and he would be back in a week or 2? Now radio silence. 🤔

And no news about Ferrandis. Is he done SX and will start to prepare outdoors?

I’ll be pissed if Marv doesn’t get a proper farewell season!!

As far as I've heard, Musquin went back to France to get surgery on his scaph.

Well that's not good. Is he on a Supercross only deal again?

Hope he heals well. Would be nice to see him racing outdoors. WSX rounds are a no go with KTM I assume.

I think Dylan said he’s coming back this upcoming race.

I think he just had a baby so that might have something to do with it

Dylan is a week-to-week thing. He wanted to be back for Oakland, so...

Yeah, that was what everyone presumed but KTM's lack of commitment made us think that he was getting a second opinion.

I believe that is what happened but, still, he would have that by now. Imagine something like this happening in Formula 1...

Well, it took us years to know James Stewart was actually retired...

Just curious if this is a KTM thing or is Marv trying to keep it quiet he's usually pretty active on social media?

There we go. Broken scaphoid, not back anytime soon.

2/22/2023 8:50am

A broken scaphoid will keep Marvin out "indefinitely" as per KTM's statement that was just released...

Big question: Have we seen Marvin race as a professional for the final time? I feel it is a possibility.

Man I hope not. That guy deserves a golden ride with KTM , and given a ride until the day he himself decides to retire.  He is still super fast , and always seems to be in the mix in SX. Going out this way.....just doesn't seem right.

I would think that even if he does call it a day after this deal, he'd do Paris as a farewell and Red Bull KTM would support it.

A story needs to be done on how Marvin landed at KTM. The guy couldn't race a round of MXGP, because of a court ruling!

What Court ruling stopped him from MXGP?

Something to due with him signing with KTM while still under contract with his current(Honda?) team

Musquin started the year with NGS Honda (a privateer team) in 2009, but he was on fire and switched to KTM mid-season.

A court case ensued, because Marvin had a deal with NGS and they obviously wanted to keep ahold of a title contender...

It was going on for a while. Marvin did four rounds with KTM (rounds seven through ten) and was leading the points by 49.

In the week before Sweden, round 11, the court said that Marvin could only race on a Honda, so he sat out Uddevalla.

I tried to sum it up as simply as possibly there, but obviously there is a whole lot more to it. Haha!
