I've talked shit on him before, but he is a skilled race car driver. Awesome, reminds me of Yvonne Duhamel's NASCAR forays. Just awesome.

he did real good,

shows how good Jeff Ward was to win SX races, and a indy car race,  he had a couple of awesome runs at the indy 500 too

Finished 11th after starting 40th, and it looked like there was a lot of chaos. Good for him for staying out of trouble, Rock on TP 199 Cool

he drove well,  lost a lap at one stage due to a pit stop penalty, but fought back,  impressive showing,

Gotta admit, I thought that his attention span wouldn’t last that long. Just the fact that he avoided all the carnage at the end was pretty impressive.

He got caught up in the last wreck.

Yes by a idiot trying to push his way to the front. He would have finished top 8 if not for that.

I was there. Just got home. He drove like a seasoned, smooth vet all day. Never got in trouble until he got clipped on the last lap. Undoubtedly top 7 or 8 if they made it to the checkers. Really impressive.

The grandstands were well aware of Travis and he had a huge following at the race.

Definitely awesome. Only thing I hoped for him was he wouldnt get caught up in crashes and could just finish the race. I duno if I was more pumped for his finish or the 825 I won from the Stenhouse win... Lol

Just to add to his list of accomplishments, earlier this week he won a DirtCar Nationals modified race in his 3rd ever start.

Super humble and well spoken in interviews, kinda the same as Dungey in a way.

Fucking stud! All those lil guys in their protective cages better hope he doesn't race full time. But I bet he wouldn't, I guarantee it's probably too boring for his adhd ass.

I was there the race he was leading it for the first time. Big Motocross Action sticker on his helmet.

I remember at the time a ton of teams were running Klotz oils, and also Klotz Uplon fuel lube in the methanol.  Uplon is similar to their Original Techniplate  2 stroke oil.. Boy did it smell good.

It was also for a safety measure as well

He did race full time in Xfinity for a season.

He did really good but with drafting being what it is, anyone still running in the draft at the end has a chance to win.

I am going to go out on a limb and say you haven't drove a car on a circle track of any size have you? Definitely boring to watch, but not boring to drive.

I don’t understand how he stayed in 11th when he caused that last lap yellow flag, can someone please explain?

you race back to the finish line when you are in the wreck and that's your finishing position. His car was drivable still.

Incorrect. They freeze the race when the yellow flag comes on,  (race ends on the next flag after taking the white flag )

so even through he was sideways he was still 11th

He didn't cause the wreck He got tagged by Amirola in the rear and got sent into the wall. Travis didn't even realize it until he saw the footage.

I have actually. But I was talking about Pastrana. There was a video back in the day where he said he got so bored practicing Supercross, that he would sing Chuck Berry and nusery rhymes to pass the time. Supercross is way more intense than driving a car on a circle track imo.

What the hell has to be going wrong in your life to talk shit on Travis Pastrana?

One of the most talented people to ever hold a handlebar or steering wheel with a list of accomplishments that's seemingly endless. To top it off the freaking guy is the human embodiment of a Labrador Retriever, little goofy looking, little hyper and about as aw shucks goofy as they come. That's a compliment btw.

I was lucky enough to meet him way back in 2003 , when he raced some Supermoto, he did an interview for a mate of mine, and was happy to chat for as long as we wanted, a few folk could learn things from his personality and demeanour.

He was as locked on for a top 10 as you can ever be.. last year i watched from Ryan Blayney on board and we got turned round 100 yards from the finish.

Its always a lottery , but just like A1 , you dare not miss it.

He’s a wheelman no doubt.  Maybe the most underrated driver of all time.  A lot of people don’t even know who he is.
