Stew destroyed RC in the booth with actual analysis that makes sense instead of just saying it's better to follow and learn from the guy in front of you.  We need more Stew and let RC report from the pits.

Having Stewart and Carmichael in the booth together is amazing.   Get rid of the damned Australian

I liked him being in the booth.  Thought he did a good job.

Are you crazy?

We need all three in the booth! They ALL killed it in different ways.

I thought they did awesome together.  They need Stew to be a regular.  He only made Ricky better.

He made Ricky better because he added value. Ricky kept trying to make it about their battles and Stew would bring it back to the race we are actually calling. I love the history too, but this was about the race they were announcing, not from 20 years ago.

My heroes too. I’m 47 and watching them was the best racing I’ve ever seen. That doesn’t make RC a good analyst, and he is far from good.

All three commentators were on point tonight. The dynamic between RC & James was great as you would expect. Was cool to finally see Weege on a Supercross broadcast albeit briefly.

A rotating roster of colour guys to join Diff & RC in the booth would be cool. Imagine getting RV on there after he’s spent the afternoon tailgating and ingesting Coors Lights.

Diff is the color guy…..but I agree on the rotations. Would be interesting and it’s terrific to see everyone get involved now that outdoor and SX are working together. We all win.

I thought they complimented each other very well, being able to give their perspectives. I enjoyed hearing them both, but I also liked hearing Emig’s take on how sections were dissected in the past. It’s a win/win when can get this type of analysis and they are very impartial.

I like Diffey. Liked him in F1, like him in SX. He knows his shit and his voice could make painting seem exciting.

And Bubba is just amazing.

I dunno what to tell u then. If the greatest of all time sucks at calling a race, and isn’t good enough for u?

Stew is VERY good in the booth.

I have to admit I'm kinda astounded that someone who made so many bonehead mistakes on the track when he was obviously so much faster than his competition (other than RC) is really so good at analysis.  If he could have just cranked it down to 90% most of the time he would have been unbeatable.

Listening to he and Ricky talk race strategy really drives it home that they were really the only competition for each other. Lots of respect for each other.

Easily the two greatest Motocross racers of all time who actually raced each other and now in the booth together. Pretty interesting stuff

Stewart, Weege, RC. In the booth, with Blair on the track would be ideal.

Stewart was rad to hear. RC gets annoying

It’s not RC, it’s the suits. Let RC be himself and he’ll deliver JUST as well as Stewart. And yes, keep them together in the booth.

RC devotes all his mental bandwidth to keeping up with the play by play and figuring out how to articulate what hes thinking that he has little left for actual analysis.

Daniel: "how do you manage a track thats half tacky and half slick?"

RC: <stack_overflow>

I guess mx must not be like F1 where mental bandwidth is at a premium or he might not be the goat.

Yeah for sure Stewart was great and I’d love to see more of him in the booth.

If you’re whinging about the commentary today, you’ll never be happier no matter what they do.

So basically my viewpoint generally is that people who are incredibly talented at things aren’t good at explaining or coaching it.

I was really impressive with James’ insight. Didn’t realize he was so analytical

I love his insight in the booth because of that. The most talented there was discussing technique and strategy? Yes please

Seemed like diffy knew when to let the experts speak. And the synergy between stew and rc was perfect.

JS did a way better job last night than he did at the nationals.

more relaxed, less nick names and trying to be funny.

i liked this more serious version of him.

I think they’re great together.  Question the 2 greatest motocross racers of all time (1 for sure) and further question the easily part.

James comments when Anderson and Barcia got together were hilarious. That’s the kind of off the cuff commentary you’d expect from a color commentary guy. Ricky seems to be more corporate anymore and bite his tongue while repeatedly saying inside outside.

2/12/2023 - James Stewart has a more prominent role in a supercross telecast than Malcom Stewart, who would of thought this three years ago?

I do enjoy Stewart's commentary...... His bit about tomac passing his and RC's win records was pretty damn funny..."we are toast"

but

not a single comment on dreadlocks?

at least he could use a monster logo.
