Tampa Weather

Weather looks great for the track build at least. Hoping the system pushes to Sunday.

I typically don't like to make assumptions about weather reports, but based off your picture alone this might just be the next generational flood.

In the south, weather reports are useless. 

I have a friend that is on the inside of weather and he is telling me biblical proportions of rain 

As someone just across the bay from Tampa, a weather report that looks like this can very easily lead to a cloudy day with 10 minutes of light rain and nothing more. It's a crapshoot based on the exact location, but storms truly are scattered here and one neighborhood can get multiple inches of rain whereas another neighborhood a mile or two away can just get a light sprinkle.

Truth…. I pay more attention to the wind gust down here when I go riding…

Agree with some of the comments about rain forecast in Florida!  I’ve had sun in my front yard and a storm in my backyard before 😂. Hope we are right. Leaving shortly from Fort Myers with my wife and daughters.  I really hope the weather holds out!!!!

According to the local ABC affiliate in Tampa it should clear out by the night show. However, the day time program looks like its going to be a mess. Hopefully DirtWurx can pull another miracle and have the track somewhat raceable by the night show.

im on my way down looks all the heavy rain fell north of tampa. This morning rained good up north.

Current prediction is almost 100% chance of thunderstorm by 8 PM. Bummer.

Looks like rain clears by 9:00. Should cover track now and delay 2 hours. 

Just started sprinkling. Sitting on the floor eating chicken tenders waiting it out. 

It’s raining pretty good now, steady for like 30 mins.

I'm west of Tampa at the beach and it rained here for about 30-40 mins but it hasn't for the last hour....buts it's FL so who knows...I would suspect that the dirt and ground should easily absorb the rain and we'll have good racing
