He looked very good. He looked racy and the cornering speed was villopoto fast and nice to watch. I very liked what I saw. I liked what I saw from Bennick and Cochran as well. Does Messi's talent make all other soccer players bad ? Off course not so not fair to compare Haiden to Jett.

That’s not what I saw in the 2nd practice kept seeing mistake by mistake. Like he was pushing to hard to try and beat Beaumers lap time, and over riding the track.

That’s what I saw.

Everyone in my area said he took him out. We are at the triple so didn’t see. But Preston was fucking with him, cross jumping, almost complete stop in front of him, staring back at him over the triple completely focusing on Deegan instead of going forward. Literally looked like all he cared about was ruining Deegan race at the cost of his own.

Watch it when you get back home. It looked that way, but replay showed no contact was made going up the dragon's back after the finish line.

Sadly no. We were waiting for it but never happened.

Kid has too much attention. There’s other fast kids coming up. I’d like to see him do well, but having high standards put on you is a bit much. Let the boy race.

Why is Star in such a hurry to have Haiden line up for supercross.  Let him get his points and prep for motocross.  He still young and the team can wait to next year.

I guess at the moment he's not learning as much as he could if he was racing, they view his pace as good enough to compete.

Bennick is the one to watch. Give him time and he beats CC and Deegan regularly.

it was about 5PM in the pits tonight and I see a huge mass of fans hanging out around the Yamaha tents. Pointing there cameras, all looking at the same thing. Naturally, I assume Tomac is signing autographs. Nope, it was all because Haiden Deegan was there. And he was just "there", not signing autographs. Just sitting at one of the tables, out of race gear and in his casual wear, with his back mostly turned away from the fans, playing on his phone, occasionally chatting with team.  People were taking photos and standing there watching him.

I'm a huge fan of the sport and a casual fan of the Deegans but didn't realize his draw power.

He gets attention because he usually wins. RC got attention because he won. Stew got attention because he won. Alessi got attention because he won. AC got attention because he won. That’s how it works.

I was told that he cut the track after his crash.

Exactly Bennick shows great speed, technique and patience on a difficult track compared to all the others making mistakes and surviving everywhere !

Deegan didn't impress me at all, just as the outdoor this summer where he raced the last 2 rounds he showed absolutely nothing ! So please stop making it sound like he is the next James stewart

How funny would it be if the next race he rolled out in some old school Fleshgear, a chest protector with big spikes and Metal Mullisha stickers on it, and his bike all blacked out with fmx cut fenders. Then started throwing the bird at everyone, just to really rile up his haters. Obviously it would never happen but it would be pretty damn funny if it did. This sport used to be all about fun and having a good time (before RC). But at some point in time a lot of fans turned into Karen's with a d**k. Lighten up guys it's  entertainment. Also don't forget to hit that down vote button.

Where’s all the Deegan’s gonna dominate crowd now? Before you say track was worse from him blah blah blah. Beaumer showed more speed in BOTH sessions. Also before the whole amateur engine, well pretty Lopes, Oldenburg, Derek Kelley, and Cole Thompson don’t have factory engines either. Oh and neither does Beaumer.

Kelley is on a factory motor and Beaumer has been FLYING at the practice tracks. Came out of nowhere but don’t discredit him because you’ve got a bone to pick with a teenager #kook

You need to realize there are some real dimwits out there and try to ignore them.  I too read guys saying Deegan would be 3 seconds a lap faster and lap the field.  No reason to drop to their level.  Also can find guys saying James Stewart could podium a 450 main right now with zero training for it. I think it was good that Deegan didn’t dominate.  Hopefully he learned a lesson.  His fall was a stupid attempt.  Not the place for a pass.  The likelihood is that he’s going to be very good so you likely are going to be very wrong when that happens.  Give it a rest.

Brian said he would line up next weekend depending on how he did last night. So the question is, did he do good enough to line up next weekend?

I don’t think any of those guys had fathers with a YouTube channel.

Yea being a pioneer of an entire sport and making himself and his family multimillionaires is just the worst.  The family is dammed if they do and dammed if they don’t on vital.

To the riding , and I’ve always thought this with haiden , he looks quick sometimes but he’s overly aggressive a lot too.  It seems like all these young guys, when it’s time to put in a heater they all live on the rev limiter.   Seems like they’d be well served by watching videos of pourcel.

Wouldn’t be the first time….

Having the night he did was probably the best thing to happen. If he would’ve won the pressure on him to line up and win next week would be huge

Messi's talent makes the rest of them 'look' bad. Especially when he dribbles past and they trip over their own feet. He is the RC of soccer. jmo

Qualified 8th fastest and 16-10 moto finishes at his 2nd pro national is nothing? Wow you have high expectations for a 16 year old amateur Sideways

He gets attention because of his name and the massive amount of clickbait title youtube videos they made of him over the years.

you are listing names of people that were either already winning pro races or winning pro championships at Deegan’s current age, and Deegan is running mid-pack to 5th in a futures race.

I feel bad for him, has all this hype on him when he hasn’t done anything but be a good amateur rider. That’s a ton of pressure to live up to. Reminds me of Mike Alessi. Then when pro time came his competitors from amateur days left him behind.

This is accurate.....but if he stops winning it will go away without a doubt.  It will be an interesting story to see unfold.  He is the first real social media/YouTube "influencer" factory guy we have had as an amateur.  Roczen was the first to really embrace the followers etc, but Deegan's started the whole vlog stuff in moto and will be fun to see how it turns out.

You had me up until you said Jett is cocky and arrogant.  That aside, the chest thumping because a teenager didn't blow away the field is weak. Oh I started the thread because of his fans hyping him. Sure you did
