Mav,

This is the same problem I posted about last week where Social Scoop posts are not rendering correctly for some people, including me on multiple browsers.

I don’t see the Forkner post from the OP either.

Devs need to correct this.

Instagram posts have been weird. For example, this Forkner update I have no trouble seeing.

However the Enticknap retirement posts appears as the following on both mobile (Android) and desktop:

When I click play the bottom half stays as a picture:

Agreed.

I am a software guy (but not a web developer) so I did some recon last week.

I have seen this with multiple browsers (Chrome/Firefox) on Windows and multiple browsers on IOS (Chrome/Safari), all with latest updates. No VPN in play.

In the HTML, there are blockquote class="instagram-media" references that are not being rendered (or rendered incorrectly) for those of us affected. There are known issues around this in the web development forums and known fixes/workarounds. There are similar reported issues lurking with blockquote class="twitter-tweet".

It appears to do with the definition of the class in the Vital code and how that is instantiated in the browser.

What is the process for getting this to Vital devs for work?

If there's any silver lining it might be the MCL injury. I did my knee - mcl, acl, meniscus, tibial plateau fracture. Very similar but my mcl was torn right through, docs said there's not much they can do and it's still floppy 10 years later.

Glad it sounds like all his injuries can be fixed/healed at least.

I had the same as well, only completely tore my acl. Doc put in a cadaver's acl so I wouldn't have to heal from a graft. For 3 weeks I had to sleep with a machine that constantly moved my foot to my butt and back straight again. Definitely a no-fun zone. Plus, the months of rehab after. Prayers for a successful recovery. And to mx617's point, 20yrs later my knee is super loose and always more swollen than the other.

I don’t. Not sure why, but all that shows is OP’s text.

I had the same issue.  I did a browser refresh (Firefox) and it is visible now.

Other than the Keefer twitter post with a pic of the radiator shroud and forks, I was only able to see Social Scoop "text" when I was using Chrome. Switched to FireFox with success. I also cleared the browser cache in Chrome which yielded the same failure.

He'll be the fastest 250 rider in the field when he returns, so thank God the 250 point-out rule changed, now he has that to come back to. And he'll have a solid ride, regardless of what Mitch decides (that's a whole other conversation, Mitch has to be just as mentally "over" all of this). Could you imagine the mental / emotional turmoil Austin would be going through if he HAD to move up to 450s? Who's touching him? He has enough to go through with yet another rehab in front of him, so ANY light at the end of the tunnel is a bonus.

6 months I blew mine out rigging a mud rig down in Newark nj. Then drove a non drive by wire Mack trk to a island off sc. then worked 4 weeks 7 days a week on the strongest horizontal drill rig in the world. It hurt like hell. Had it reconstructed went back to work in 4 months. Then blew everything out in my shoulder, game keepers thumb and broke 4 vertebrae. My contract for 6 months 450k take home was terminated for a European co. Injuries can mess your life up. Damon huffman raced after 3 months acl reconstructed knee. At 3-4 months the graph is solid. A packers surgeon did mine . A Grest surgeon cuts the time down. He should be 100 % by may.

Going back at 6 months is a gamble. Anything prior to that is straight up foolish. He's got more damage than just the ACL to deal with as well (tibial plateau, medial AND lateral meniscus, PCL, MCL).

He won't be back by May... or June... or July...

My personal view is it should be A1 2024 and just use this year to get back stronger than ever. If he's super motivated to come back though, maybe some fall races? No point in dipping in half way through nationals.

Every ACL injury is not the same. As someone coming off a completely destroyed ACL/MCL/PCL in 2021, I can tell you that as good a physical condition that Austin is in, there is no way in hell he'll be back in 6 mos.  There are a ton of variables involved--type of repair ---whether its a graft or cadaver ( they opted for cadaver in my case ), how long he needs to wait until surgery (i had to wait almost a month until the swelling went down enough) and of course the surgical team that does his repair ( I had Burke & Bradley  sports ortho at UPMC--the same guys that do many NFL players --all the Steelers and have done several Pro moto guys.) I'm sure that Austin will have a similarly skilled team. I AM 63 so they initially told me 12 mos until it was strong enough to race , but intense rehab got me ready in 10.   The one thing I remember the Doc telling me was " Listen, your knee is going to feel perfect in about 4-5 months, BUT it will be nowhere near strong enough to be racing on it. Just spinning around to reach for something in the kitchen may screw up everything we just did"  So I was a good boy and listened and worked hard. Came back in 2022 won 12 of 16 motos and won the Mid Atlantic +60 Championship and finished # 2 in the country. My left knee is the best joint I own now, lol.  I'm more concerned with his mental outlook at this point.

I have nothing against Forkner and SX/MX is better when he is racing. We will miss him on the West Coast.

His crashes are unfortunate and I cannot fault him. Bad luck, ugly juju...whatever you wanta call it can't last forever.

I wish him a full and speedy recovery.

This kid has matured and is honest and humble in this video. He has gone through so much and I will be moving him to the top of my list as a rider to support in the future,  Yes he has crashed a lot but it's only because he has such a strong will to win. He should be applauded for that desire and willingness to put it on the line. He is one of only a small handful of guys who has the speed to win. He has my full support as a person and a racer. I think everyone needs to get behind him..he deserves it

Maybe, might be a bit too much higher power talk involved there, but, not the worst idea.

man, poor kid. Works his entire life to race pro mx...then spends his career sitting on the couch watching the races on TV. You gotta believe that can seriously F with your mental health. Especially knowing he went into A1 thinking "Ok, gotta stay healthy this year" only to crash his brains out 50' into the race. Ugh.

Selfishly I am disappointed we are losing one of the few guys that can give Jett trouble in this series.

If Austin didn't have bad luck he'd have no luck at all.

We’ve gotten your negative opinion on the topic a handful of times already. We don't need it anymore. Post something worthwhile or keep it moving.

Exactly how I felt watching this. Wanted to give the kid a hug and tell him to keep his head up. He's been through a lot. You can see the mental anguish. No person with a soul should look at this and wish any ill-will on the dude.

Are you keeping tabs on me Mr. Goodbar? Its an opinion. And kid seems to like crashing more than staying healthy. Just looking at the facts. Ask anyone. The kid almost crashes every time the camera is on him. I understand the track plays a role, but this kid looks more sketchy than he ever has in the past. He's the new Crashadoo. Stick a Forkner in it. He's done.

Keeping tabs? No. I just read the forum and when garbage gets posted by the same person over and over, I happen to notice. Call it an observation. Don’t flatter yourself.

Dammit.

AF seemed to be about the only one with maybe something for Jett to think about.

Kenny had 11 surgeries & runs up front, so maybe ..

On a positive note:

After all the "Woulda, Coulda,Shoulda" crap we witnessed in the other thread(s)...

Austin comes in here and just flat-out OWNS IT.

That makes me smile.

Hey, Austin? Maintain the stoke & just get to work. You can and will do this.

I remember Everts couldn't catch a break before he goes to Rinaldi. Collarbone, spleen, knees, arms, it was a mess for 2 years straight. A lot of people said that he was done at that time. The rest is history. I would love to see star make a call for Forkner in the neir future. A fresh start could be good. This is not over yet imo.
