How is this bad luck? The dude has no brain. He proves it multiple time.

And yesterday he just established a new record.

30meters in the final and he goes to the hospital.

It's insane you can't even feel bad for him....

He  need to stop trying for his own safety.

after a closer, slowed-down look at the video from his right side, his leg snapped into the dirt much like mine did some years ago when I sustained a tibial plateau fracture. these aren’t common breaks from what I was told, but for me at least, it was devastating. it’s hard to imagine he’s not suffering a similar injury, especially with the obvious pain he was in. hope I’m completely wrong. feel gutted for him.

Exactly. Fatalist Positivist don't want to hear that. But let's ask dave mirra what he think about it.

If am him, I’m asking Mitch to build me a 450 so I can race later in the season. Maybe a 450 will force him to ride more conservatively. If not he needs to hang it up.

Let's hope for the young man this is not the case. I'm not a fan of his at all and i feel a lot of the suffering he has endured is self-inflicted in some ways by his mindset on and off the track. But I still feel horrible for him, and he does have some bad luck. Honestly, if the injury is not too serious and he can come back the best move for him would be find some sort of ride in MX2. Have a reset. Race outdoors away from the drama that was created here and focus on building race craft and get the head straight away from Supercross. This will NEVER happen, but it's not a bad idea at this point

Pretty sure you not going to ride back to the pits alone on the rear of a mule with a broken tib/fib.

Hope he’s ok.

If your leg is locked in a boot, its very possible. I broke my fib and had to ride my bike out of the woods and load it myself. The boot was my brace/cast/everything before the swelling and adrenalin wore off

Not sure why people are saying he looked sketchy. In person, it was obvious the dude was flying all day in practice and in his heat and he looked comfortable throughout. The crash on the start just seemed like bad luck.

Hope we see him (and Brown) back next round.

Mitch needs to be looking into his contract and looking for a way out. Forkner has been given his chance over and over and over again. The Pro Circuit team used to be great, but these banged up amatures that cannot run a full race/season are really starting to take a toll on the PC image.

12 wins and 4th all time is pretty good for a banged up amateur

He looked sketchy in practice and his heat. He is pressing too much. He doesn’t look at all like a seasoned vet.

I’ve always been a fan. I just don’t understand why he doesn’t let the race come to him more.

It’s like that old cliche, “you can’t win the championship at the first round, but you can lose it.”

That’s him in a nutshell.

How many times does “bad luck” need to happen before it’s considered a pattern?

It’s still the mxgp series. Mx2 class would eat him up too. He’s 24 and hasn’t learned a thing since turning pro. Europe and Asia would not be easy for him.

not to mention he’s not a strong outdoor rider either. He would struggle massively on the tracks.

I hate to see him hurt again of course. As others have said, I truly think he was way off balance and should’ve let out of it. With the field he still could’ve pulled a top 5 with a bad start. Would be very telling watching slow mo from the gate drop.

I read somewhere it was a tib/fib break? Poor guy has no luck.

Can't race MX2 as he already aged out of the class.

MX2 might not be easy on him but getting away from the SX meat grinder and all the karma surrounding it would probably do wonders for him. When healthy he's a very good rider outdoors. I never said he'd go to MX2 and win. Although if you don't think he can win a GP or two on a decent ride in MX2 you just flat out don't understand this guy's talent.  Go to MX2 to get away from the karma and noise and work on himself. On and off the track and it will make him a stronger rider and a nice reset for his head and career. He has way too much talent and won so many times to not come back in a year or two and be dominate again on a 250 in SMX.

As mav correctly pointed out he’s aged out of mx2. I don’t even think he has an outdoor overall here in the states. Talented yes, but also a mental midget.
