Any news on Forkners injury? Seemed to be in a lot of pain on the mule. I was looking forward to seeing if he could take it to Jett this year

His leg seemed to be moving unnaturally, hope it was an optical illusion and he's back soon.

I read somewhere it was a tib/fib break? Poor guy has no luck.

Looked to me like it might be a hip with the way he landed.

Oh man that was brutal. Never been a super fan of Forkner, but damn I feel bad for the kid. Could see the painful face under his helmet, probably for as much of the frustration of another injury. Hope it’s not too bad. Seemed like he was in a better place coming in to the season. Newsflash: MX/SX can be a heartless mistress. 🥴

He lost his balance and was on his way of making contact. He didn't shut the throttle and back out and that was the result.

Anyone that has raced regularly has probably had that happen to them a couple of times and usually you just shut the throttle and accept you screwed up your start. He didn't do that, so i don't really buy that this was an unlucky incident like the one with Jett last year (that was unlucky).

Anyways, brutal for him. Didn't even get hafway past the start straight and the season is basically done. And this sucks for the series because it means it will probably be pretty dull with Jett cruising to the title.

Probably. His leg did look weird when he skipping across the dirt. Hope it's nothing serious because him and RJ were the only ones who had anything for Jett.

This foot/ankle roll didn't look good.

Poor kid has worse luck than Herlings. Usually when tib breaks, fib goes with it. Did mine and break spiraled up tib. 14 screws and 2 plates. Sounds like his season is done before it ever started.

Someone speculated that he broke his tib / fib.

Hate him or love him, this is just sad. He doesn't deserve so much pain.

I would completely  understand  if he walked  away from the sport after last night.  I cannot  imagine  how he must feel.

Well, the West coast  series is Jetts for sure now.  I won't  be surprised  if he wins every round

When you are full throttle on a supercross start that gets narrower and becomes a bottle neck you already have too much momentum to simply get off the gas. Hitting the brakes and locking up the front wheel isnt a smart idea either.

By the time you realise a rider is coming across on you it is normally already too late.

He isnt a kid, but he still makes 'kid' mistakes.

He looked antsy on the gate, and while he didnt get a bad jump, he came across on RJ Hampshire almost straight away, and was in front of RJ when they made contact , and had far more room to the right than he need , which is why he didnt back off i guess, but he wasnt headed towards the turn at that point, and he hooked McAdoo and that was it, 5 seconds from the gate drop , and he is out.

At this point surely the 'luck' thing has to be put to one side.

RJ was backed out as he crashed, and yet he still managed a relatively easy 2nd place.

Forkner looked sketchy in practice, and was all over the place in the heat, you have to say that on that track against that field , the worst he should ever have been was 3rd, but he wont think like that .

RJ's post race interview was a perfect example of how you need to think

I hope he isnt too badly hurt.

Unfortunately as much as I was a superman of Robbie Reynard and he knows how to make people fast...something about his system creates inconsistency, brittleness and short careers. Not sure but Canard may be the only successful one to sorta come out of that place alive(figuratively speaking).

Total bummer to watch that…. Just took the wind out of the 250 West. Hopefully he is not beat up too bad. Injury after injury just wears you down mentally. Get better soon👍

When he crashes, he crashes HARD.  Sad to see.  Hopefully his injury is something he can heal up from in a relatively short time frame.
Can he switch coasts now?

He sat up when being transported, doubt you do that if that's the case.

He needs a complete reset. Smaller team, on a 450. He’ll out of the title hunt/conversation in the 450 class, gives him a chance to work without the added pressure and expectation to win. Finishing his career out as a top 10 450 guy is much better than a top level 250 guy that isn’t able to complete the seasons.

I mean damn. All the building up to a healthy return....and he literally doesn't survive the first start straight.

Mitch needs to be looking into his contract and looking for a way out. Forkner has been given his chance over and over and over again. The Pro Circuit team used to be great, but these banged up amatures that cannot run a full race/season are really starting to take a toll on the PC image.

Can't speak to everybody but he was over riding the track all day. Bad choice. As others have suggest backing out of the throttle would have been a better option.
