My friend bakes the most amazing home made sourdough loaf's, a thick slice while it's still warm with proper salted butter is heavenly! Why can't salad taste that good?
Apart from Moto I'm also interested in history, I love the fact that archeologists can instantly tell if a skeleton was before or after the 11th century. Ie, when sugar was brought back to Europe from the crusades. Hardly any rotten teeth before but an explosion of them after.
This way you can just get a moderate amount of heart disease, that sounds nice. Or just stop eating animals and get no heart disease, no dementia, no strokes, no arthritis..
Good points my man, but if you study the literature, human health suffers long term with any animal consumption, regardless of how it's raised, which, lets face it, is all on CAFOs, US and Europe alike. Large studies repeatedly show: the less animal food is eaten in a population, the healthier it is. And they control for other things in the diet in case any of you want to say correlation isn't causation.
I definitely crave sugar. I'm having a hard time avoiding it and I've just bloody started to cut back.
There are 5 in my family and all pretty fit. Myself and my daughter are the ones that exercise the most and we are the ones who seem to be addicted to sugar?

Herein lies a problem that is often not talked about. What do you consider moderation as far as eating meat, dairy, and eggs? You tell me the weekly frequencies and I'll tell you what the preponderance of literature says about your supposed "moderation."
Do you think soda and candy is has led to heart disease being the leading cause of death in this country? News flash, its what you're shoving down your piehole daily, the meat, cheese, yogurt, and eggs. How often do you drink a soda as an adult? cmon now
Won't get me, im vegan.
congratulations
Holy crap that was funny Rupe. I just busted out laughing. Thanks for that.
I'm also a cyclist, so I am better than you.
This is likely because you exercise the most and probably need to eat more. Replenish what you burn with high quality food including carbs and sugar within 30 min after exercise.
Thanks 8ten. We are trying! Milk and roasted unsalted peanuts and raisins on the way home from the gym is our go-to at the moment. Just did it actually. Haven’t managed to kick chocolate milk yet.
Chocolate milk is great for after a workout! Mix it with some high quality protein (Ryno Power is great) and you have the perfect recovery blend.
With all due respect, drinking dairy after a workout is asinine. There are multiple reasons but I'll just mention the estrogen. Milk comes from a pregnant or recently pregnant female mammal. Ever thought about what's coursing through the system of a female mammal during pregnancy and after pregnancy? You guessed it the female hormone, estrogen. Just what a man needs after a hard workout..
edit: There
Sugar bad, so is literally everything else
At my last job there was a 70+ year old man that would work the boots off of anyone was wrinkle free, fit as hell and took no medications. While in CPR training one day the instructor says “how often do you work out?” He says, “never just work hard”. She then says: “you must eat a healthy diet”. He responds “no, I eat everything, especially stuff with preservatives in it, if it preserves the food it should preserve me”.
pick your poison. Ha!
Lol. Wrong on multiple levels, but if you believe any of that definitely avoid dairy. I guess all whey protein is bad too. You do you man.

I’d be willing to put that to the test in any way you can possibly fathom.
Switching from sausage biscuits and hamburger helper to keto and claiming keto is what changed your life is a real swing and a miss too. I hate vital nutrition threads
Pit Row
Quite a few competitive cyclists, and riders like Eli Tomac , Jeremy Seewer and Jago Geerts consume chocolate milk post workout.
My goal is too eat a bunch of animals and die early so I can stay the fuck away from you people.
You’re going to have to post the studies you think support these claims, as this (along with the rest of your comments) are not actually evidence-based.
There are many dietary patterns- those with and without animal products- that are equally health-promoting. That’s what the data says in a nutshell.
The article from MXA is also not based in science, though I (and current guidelines) would agree with reducing intake of foods with added sugar. That said, the foods that most people overeat are combinations of sugar, fat, and sodium - eg hamburgers, pizza, etc. and not sugar cubes.
Same and I do this full-time 😂
More food for thought as we all are different

Whey protein increases IGF-1 levels. IGF-1 feeds cancer cells. You do you boo
Please do, one less jackoff clogging up the freeways
I wish they'd have said the "drink" part another way. You can drink fruits and veggies, you just need to include the fiber, so you *blend* instead of juice.
I spent years steeped in nutritional science. Everything I've claimed is indeed backed by peer reviewed studies. Quite of bit of the literature is still knocking around inside my braincase, so ask a question and I'll answer it the best I can for you. I'm definitely not going to go look up all this data, as it's been about six years since i've been in that headspace, it would take hours finding the sources again. That's a bold claim to say nothing I've said is evidence based. What do you base that confidence on? The data shows, nothing is as equally health promoting as a whole food plant-based diet. Have you heard of the blue zones? These are populations throughout the world which have historically boasted the highest proportion of centenarians. Okinawa, Sardinia, Loma Linda CA, etc. These people traditionally have eaten predominantly plant-based diets. I'd like to know what dietary patterns you know of that can compete in health outcomes with WFPB.
Oh, aaand, estrogen promotes hormone related cancers like breast and prostate cancer. There are plenty of other healthy ways to recover from a workout. C'mon Rocky, stop drinking eggs and milk and join us in the 21st century. Watch the Game Changers documentary on Netflix for an eye-opening look into the gains athletes are making today on vegan diets.
I’ve always had a addiction to candy- like sour patch kids, gummies, sour anything..etc. I literally crave the stuff bad at times.
Anyways, a few days ago I had decided to try and cut out as much sugar as I could - no candy, Gatorade, soda (coincidentally I saw this post). It’s actually been tough the past few days- seriously like sugar detox. Headaches, light headed, fatigue, tiredness..
This post and the one below it are what classify you as an actual mutt. No more posting for you.
