We are not big gift people because we have most of what we want. Therefor I try to get the wife thoughtful gifts or more specifically I will make something. Some are more successful than others. lol

This year's gift I have found is a paint by numbers portrait.

Paint by numbers

I'm not the most artistic person so it could be a disaster, but it will be fun and really however it turns out, she will dig it more than if I spent a grand on a necklace or something like that. Other times I have ordered Christmas ornaments for her with pictures she loves, and I made a wood plaque with our names routed in the infinity sign. One of the hidden bonuses when I make something I always have to purchase some kind of tool so it is a win-win.

Anyone else have any Christmas gift ideas like that?

No joke, my wife asked for a vacuum for Christmas Cool

If you have a bunch of digital photos you can put together a real nice physical photo album that gets printed and look like a book. Always nice to have pictures you can look through that aren't on a screen.

I go my wife a paint by numbers gift last Christmas through paintwithnumber.com
It came with everything needed. She finished it in no time and then found a cool thrift store frame to hang it in.

btw that's a tongue, not a doob

My Nieces husband bought her anti wrinkle cream one year. She was about 32. So, in return, she gave him tennis elbow if you get my drift.

That's an awesome painting, she did great!
I was thinking about letting my wife paint hers. It really will come down to how difficult it looks.
maybe I could send your wife my picture. hahaha

I usually get her a new sex toy or vibrator. It's a tradition that we both look forward to.

You guys are brave to entertain the thought of getting the wives some appliances and the like. Mine never let me live that one Christmas down. As long as it’s not the main gift I think it’s ok. Lol

Yeah, that stuff is really iffy. Pots and pans and such only if she's some kind of cooking guru. Put I would be totally ok if my wife bought me a Kitcheaid stand mixer for Christmas. I'm famous around our parts for my Detroit style pizza and I'd love to make dough easier. I make pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and biscuits and gravy, she does everything else. Of course, I make a project out of pizza I make my own sauce, dough from scratch and cut my own pepperonis.

I'm going to get my wife a puppy, and it will be obediently waiting in the trees for my signal and then it will come running over a snow drift to surprise her. In response she will probably get me a new GMC truck that will autonomously drive itself over a different snow drift to my waiting arms. Going to be a good Christmas!

I got one of those for my wife for valentines day one year.
Don't do that.

Giving the vacuum and knife at the same time could end very bad for me haha

I think one of the most well-liked, most used gifts I got for my wife is a towel warmer. She's always freezing so it's perfect for when she gets out of the shower.

She is also a horse enthusiast so theres always a mile long list of barn/horse/trailer accessories for me to pick from haha.

Like the OP, we have outgrown the gift season.
We're both fortunate to have the things we need for a very comfortable life.

So, much like this past weekend, we gift each other with time carved away from our work schedule.
We'll start out using our cabin as a base camp, and spend as much time outdoors, both day and night.

Multiple nights sleeping outdoors, waking outdoors, campfires, no distractions, keeps us best friends.
You can't buy that in stores, or online.

I'm all out of ideas. We just had our 20th anniversary, so I made her a picture book of our lives together, from dating until now. That took a lot of work and planning, believe it or not - some of those images were stored in really obscure places!
For Christmas, she's lucky if she gets a lump of coal.

If that happened I'd try to calmly explain that the red child-hauler is hers, but she would probably just interrupt me and then use her eyes to tell me to go fuck myself. Merry Christmas.

Ward told the Beaver, "Your mother's a housewife...if she's gonna be in the house...she might as well be in the kitchen".

If it’s a robot vacuum you should be safe based on my experience. She initially rolled her eyes, but once it started running for a few days she said it’s the best thing ever. Instead of her vacuuming once a week, the robot vacuums daily and she only does a “good vacuuming” once a month or so. A “good vacuuming” is just me moving all the furniture the robot can’t get under so she can vacuum it. I’ve contemplated putting all our furniture on blocks. Laughing

I certainly hope that "Lump of coal" isn't the pet name she gave the lil Falcon. Hahahahaha
