Well that's kind of pathetic with what's going on in silly season. Imagine not having a spare bike to send them.

I don't think it's that they don't have one, I would assume they know it comes in last before the shootout starts due to "perception" so why send a bike and technicians for more negative exposure.

It is just not a good look, when trying to sign someone who sees themselves as a championship contender.

For some reason I don’t believe that is weighing on Kenny’s mind for this decision.

Public perception is usually a bigger deal then rider, when coming to manufacture. The average joe is not going to see the RMZ and think they stopped making them XD

I actually hope Roczen signs with HEP, I think he will do well. I'm sorry you see this thread as a personal attack, not all of us are that sensitive. Please contact Suzuki with your further complaints, thanks !

Yamaha and Kawasaki will run shootouts it seems. Honda made updates but seems not one of test riders didnt really liked the bike.

The Green bike from all I’ve read seems like it would make a good Vet/older rider bike. I’m not a 450 guy, I’m old and slow but after all I’ve read if I had it to do all over I might have bought KX450 as opposed to the 23 CRF250R in the garage.

I really enjoy reading or listening to any kind of Test on new models, always interesting.

Kawi gets no love, but this generation of 450 has won so many shootouts over the last 4-5 years. It’s a great bike. Hopefully they don’t make any drastic changes for ‘24.

I’ve never ridden a KX, only set on one bike shopping a while back. When I climbed on it it kinda set like like a narrow Yamaha. When I see a green 450 for sale on face book lot of times it’s an older guy, or seems like it to me.

I’d like to ride a KX 450. I’d like to ride 2023 YZ250F too.

How times have changed. Thoughts on why there wasn’t a Suzuki in the lineup? Production deadlines and/or issues?

Agreed. They do not do anything spectacular, but they are very neutral in every aspect... Super easy to ride.

Rode an SR a few weeks ago and while it didn’t have any stand out features that I was blown away with, but that damn bike was super efficient and predictable. I’m not a 4 stroke guy and definitely not a 450 guy by any means but I couldn’t keep myself off of it.

To bad they don’t at the very least do suspension revalves for a select group of guys when doing a shootout. The Honda with the suspension done feels like a different bike vs stock. The rigidness of the bike is gone. It’s a great bike when it’s set up properly.

Keefer is doing a shootout where he spends the same on every bike. A Suzuki with 4K of work might be pretty good compared to a stock KTM…

Yeah the Honda 250 with a revalve and stiffer springs by FC is a totally different bike. Stock shootouts are a bit odd. It does give you a good baseline though, and is informative for people who won’t want to throw more money at the bike.

This gen KX450 has won the majority of shootouts since it’s launch in ‘19. Just a great all-around bike. Kawi got it right. I bet they are sweating trying to do better with the ‘24.

Make the air box easier to get into, add WiFi mapping, fix the levers (they won’t), add a little more power without losing the smoothness it already has, and knock off a few pounds. Maybe stiffen up the forks a hair, and they would win even more shootouts. Honda, ktm, and now Yamaha have a decent weight advantage over the kx. Hopefully they target that. Kawi has done well the last few years. I don’t think they will screw it up.

What I would like to see them do: make a kx350x.

I agree. That is a cool idea. I will be interested in how that goes.
