DC,
Bristol has that back parking area that would work great.

I'm just down the road from there and know the area and the people well.

If you want the truth about things I can inform you.Dont let the local MX "insiders" feed you a bunch of bullshit because they are real good at that.

Dont hesiate to get a hold of me when you come lookin'.

BMS is a great idea but dont let the local "players" (you know who I mean, surly) muddy the water.

I can help if you would want or need it.

It would be awsome, if Barnett says he can fix up the parking, then he can do it. The paved roads coming in are fine, Bubba would lap everyone.

Monster would be great. The do suffer some parking and entrance/exit road problems. Rain can make it very difficult to get into and out of. The track is second to none. It could use some facilities but that could be done too.

Mill Creek and it's owners have proven that they can handle huge crowds and will do just about anything it takes to get that big race there. The dirt used to be less than desirable but they've sunk tons of money in that place and it has been great the last few big races I've seen there. They do seem to be plagued with rain on the huge race weekends but that's just another element. It's just down the road from Barbers so you really should swing by and talk to the McWilliams' while you're here.

Obviously, Barbers will make an excellent venue. They've got the money and infrastructure to make every other US motocross site pale in comparison. Go out there on the AMA Superbike weekend. That place is packed with bikes and motoheads. The location is second to none with all the hotels and interstate access.

I was under the impression that Bremen was going away because it was in the middle of an urban sprawl area. I did think they were building a better facility close by though.

I've known Randy since '78, when he was still racing regularly. Putting up with assholes for as long as he has is something not every one has the tolerance for. I remember his first venture in race promoting was at a little track here in Tampa, and he has gone on to become one of Florida's premeir promoters. His 30 year run at Dade City speaks for itself.

Mark Barnett could do a great job helping Andy (owner) out with the parking areas etc.. The track at MonsterMX.com shows it all. The roads in and out are not a problem. The Semi trucks can get in and out w/ no problems. The hotels are about 15 to 20 min away. They own plenty of land to do all that would be needed. Davey please at least go and check this place out or call Mark Barnett. You know he does a great job. The Monster track is the real deal !!!
Monster Energy could be a sponsor!! MonsterMX.com

Ya, the level of racing at Dade City is way above other local tracks.
And the way the track has just changed over the past few years has even made it better.

The new acreage that Bremen has was made for outdoor moto. Easy access and close to lots of motels and restaurants.

The old Burnt Hickory track is part of a subdivision and you can still see some parts of the old track if you knew it as well as I did.

The new Bremen track will be great. Lots of land and the track sits on land that doesn't have a flat spot on it. An we know that the Kelly's can build the right track and make the dirt right, too.

D.C. , Barber makes the most sense as in parking, ease of the main interstate, experience handling large crowds and financial resources (i guess), but the last time I was down there for a track day they had the MX sign down.

Can you give me an update on the status of the MX track?

But the most likely is the new GA track the Kelly's are building (is it Bremen or Aonia?) and IMO, it'll be an all new at Barber because of the surrounding amenities and more to offer with the museum and facilities

Monster doesn't have the proper road and infrastructure for the big rigs. Gatorback won't happen

What ever became of Burnt Hickory in Georgia? Anywhere but Gatorback. Place has been worn out since the 90's.
I raced Burt Hickory in the early 80's or maybe very late 70's. I was so young I don't even know what city it was in.

Gatorback won't happen because Wyn Kern is an asshole and few like working with him. Not to mention housing and urban sprawl is closing in on the property.

Gatorback is good. Too bad Diamondback is gone, would have made a killer National track. Probably would have to call 911 for some of todays riders getting tired on that track.

Just got off the phone with him and he didn't seem like an asshole. As a matter of fact, he was pretty nice.

muddy creek is a beat POS.Needs plowing under and starting over.

Bristol could have a night outdoor race very easy.Plenty of bathrooms, parking for semis.

Building a good track is easy.

Pure rumor here, but I heard that after Mr. Barber went to a MX national he didn't like what he saw and did not want a national at his place. Too many hoes, tats, and partying?
