With the release of this seasons tracks there is no Minneapolis which is the closest one too me. Me and some buddies were talking about flying to a different race, any idea on which one is the best to attend?

I like the earlier rounds as the vibe is usually better, just more energy and positivity for the season, etc. I've been to Vegas, Glendale, St Louis, and Denver. My best experiences have been (in order of best to worst): 1) Glendale (great weather typically, big track, long lap times, usually early in the year - just not in 2023 grrr) 2) Denver (nice venue, later in the year typically but still has good turnout, energy is insane when Tomac is racing) 3) St Louis (not a fan of indoor pits and I'm always amazed at the amount of people who still smoke cigarettes there - but STL has good dirt and the riders like that, thus racing is almost always really good). 4) Vegas - One would think this would be a blast but reality is, riders that are out of the points championship are tired and don't give a fuck. Riders still in the points championship are stressed out as fuck and aren't in the mood to talk. Riders out of the championship are ready for a 2 week vacation and the start of the outdoors. Industry people are tired of 17 weeks out of 18 weeks of travel and want a break. Just an overall weird and worn out vibe at the Vegas races.

I'd go to an earlier round somewhere with nice weather. Just my $0.02.

I’m guessing you’d fly out of Minnie? I’d say Dallas is a really good race to go to. Great stadium & usually an Excellent Pit Party!

Daytona is a great race if ya wanna spend some extra time hanging out & enjoying Bike Week.

One of the things to consider is what cities are the most affordable to fly to and stay at (hotel prices).

I guess, if you’re feeling like driving, you could try Detroit or Indy?

Nashville was incredible it's first time around. But the weather was perfect. It's an open stadium so it's a gamble. The fans were super energetic, location was sweet, and night life near the stadium was fun. It is spendy though.

Glendale always delivers. Huge, nice stadium. Great area near by. Good flights from MSP and although the airport is a ways away, it's an easy one to get to.

Daytona is terrible for spectating, but it's something to see and bike week is awesome.

Final vote would be Denver. It was affordable, good location, and Colorado is a great moto-hub. Great opportunities to do other fun stuff away from the race too.

A1, San Diego, Glendale, Arlington, and Nashville like Chris said. Atlanta at the speedway is my personal favorite now as long as it’s dry. New Jersey is my least favorite

The first five tracks looks amazing. I’ll be in Houston and then plan to go to Dallas for the smx round.

A1 has ALL the riders and the excitement is amazing. Daytona has such a different atmoshere to the other rounds and is cool to walk out on the track after the race. Good luck making the choice

Been to quite a few now... A1, San Diego, Glendale, Dallas, Houston, Atlanta, Daytona, Vegas. The west coast vibe is different, everyone there follows the sport religiously, watch qualifying, visit the pits. Dallas is a party, big crowd, lots of tailgating (it feels like a football game). Houston the vibe seems less interested, however it always seems easier to meet and talk to the riders, and its cheap.

San Diego is pretty good. The venue is really nice lots of hotel options and great dining in the gas lamp district.

It’s not at Petco Park this year which is one of my favorite stadiums. Such a bummer it’s on the outskirts at San Diego State’s stadium

This is the only correct answer... A1 has by far the most hype, most big names just hang'n out, etc... not a great area to hang out at... LOL.. but if I were only gonna do 1 SX this year, it would be A1...

Good point of Glendale, there's about a zero % chance weather is going to mess up your experience. It's AZ so the weather is typically perfect that time of year (might be a little warm this year in April). And, on the extremely unlikely chance of rain, they close the roof.

Me, personally, I'd be pretty un-stoked if I did a bunch of planning and prep and flew from MN to A1 or SD only to have a mudder or lime-gate situation.. lol

That’s the same point to be made for Dallas, too.

It used to be at Qualcomm...which I assume is why it's at Snapdragon this year. (same location, different stadium).

I am confused why they changed it though...everyone loves Petco Park. The fanfest/pit areas were a shit show downtown, but the stadium itself is one of the best.

Really curious how it's going to be in the new college stadium. Seems like a weird choice to me.

A1, the first race tension makes it exciting. Also most if not all the 450 guys should be there.

Nashville can keep a person entertained long after the races are over. It's a top choice.

Lets go threw the years
. SX was born in California 1972 Angeles Stadium with Mike Goodwin Taking the Reins.
Then some asshole Killed another asshole to get control of the sanctioning body then comes Dave Coombes SR.
Then he passes left to His Sons Davey and Tim

When it was at Atlanta County Stadium (Outdoors) was the place to be.
Then the Indoor was built,, Still cool, (Dungey's first SX 125 win)...

Atlanta was the Best then came Denver because of the end of year points Battle
Ambience which once was owed by Atlanta became Denver's.
Then comes Atlanta Outdoors ...again!
***EDIT*** Atlanta at the Nascar track is the best....
So is the Titty Bars from 1980's to 2022. The BEST!
