Looks like someone felt the need to steal the sign for the Team USA bike wash station. Pretty shitty. I hope they get caught.

All the trash on the ground after the race ended bothered me more. People are animals. Would you just throw trash and empty beer cans in your own yard? Man that gets me heated

I had one can with me all day. I crushed it and put it on my photo equipment backpack. Thanks for the reminder, as it is still in there.

Sucks that some maggot stole the USA pressure washing sign!

There is gold mine in all those beer cans and soda bottles since the 5 cent deposit can be collected.

Snapped a pic of it Friday morning.

Are they marked somehow specific to Michigan?

I am inspired by a Seinfeld episode.

I was talking to the neighbor of the track today and she said the local school students (maybe athletic portion) comes in and picks up and keep the cans/bottles to recycle and get to keep the money. Win win for both.

I saw one of these douches carrying signs back to the camping lots. Not sure which ones though. Probably the same idiots that thought blowing train horns in the middle of the night and chain saws at 1:30 AM was a great idea. I will never stay at the track for a race like this again. Way too many "bros" and just complete dickheads that ruin it for everyone else.

I stole a Pro Circuit sign & a Shift sign from an Australian Thumper national race in like 1996 that would have gone in the bin anyway, it's a prized possession in my shed lol

These signs are not being shipped back to Europe mate relax.

I thought this was just a UK thing. Kinda sad it's the same over there. I was fortunate enough to be at St. Jean for MXGP last month and took this photo about 30 minutes after everyone had left. This is the main bank where everyone stands. No rubbish anywhere and no one had been collecting it either. I was amazed. The waffle wasn't bad either...

They should really ban the chain saws imo. So stupid and annoying. It's the Swedes fault. They brought them over in 2018 and now it's caught on with US people. I don't remember any at the national race though.

The level of disrespect at this race was second to none. Absolutely a sad sight.

Im not defending leaving trash everywhere so dont get the wrong idea, however they shoulda had more trash cans about. There were many places where there was no where near enough trash cans for the size of the crowd. Down by the night track for the pit bike race there was not a trash can in sight, and the crowd was huge. What trash cans you did see were overflowing with piles next to them (still better than strewn about on the ground). We have learned this lesson at our local track too...... if you dont want trash on the ground you gotta put out enough barrels.

Spring Creek was the same way this year. They needed to triple the amount of garbage cans they had available.

I am usually the one to empty all the barrels at our track after race day. Im the one who has to shake them upside down over the hopper to get the stuck trash bags and soggy cardboard boxes out. Im the one that gets the mystery fluid running down to my elbows from whatever bullshit they threw in there. I fully undertand what this job is about and I wish people would think a little more about the guy that has to clean this shit up. I wonder if it may be easier for them to clean up afterwards than to try to manage barrels all weekend long. You have to haul around a trailer to pick them all up and drop off empty ones. It would probably be a neverending job over the weekend. Maybe they dont want to congest the roadways anymore than they have to with trash service. They might just say "screw it, we'll clean everything up when they leave, itll be easier".

has to be this, I figure the make enough money to say F it and we will pay people $10-15 bucks an hour to clean it all up after the party is over.
