He had a really solid season for MCR in 2020.

He took off in 2022 to become a cop. That’s probably smart to acquire a backup skill. He also became a dad that year as well. Life is a lot longer than what Moto can provide,

He then tried to sign and ride last year and got hurt.

It isn’t some crazy story.

Yeah my point was that nothing was abnormal from other motocross contract gossip. He wasn’t out doing drugs and partying like Jlaw and Izzi like someone pointed out earlier as a comparison for squandered talent.

Plus the guy is 27 and probably still a threat to top 10. Why wouldn’t we want more of those type people in the class? Why would we be actively cheering for someone who adds value to the middle part of the class which is always needed.
I'll cheer for him, if he shows up and races and has done the work to be competitive. Past experience is that the chances of him doing that is not high, and gets lower with each years comeback.

Me lumping him with J-Law and Izzi was nothing to do with their personal lives or extracurricular activities, its because every year we hear "J-Law is coming back to Loretta's/Outdoors!", "Izzi is back on the bike wanting to race again!", etc. Its not just those two, but they seem to be brought up most often.

'Til they line up on the gate its all bs.

Makes me a little sad that people put down Justin Hill and act like he is some sort of bad guy. Facts are, in 2020 he was very consistent and the top placing non-factory rider overall in the series. He beat plenty of factory guys en route to a top 10 in the championship.

I guess the criticism comes from Hill not doing great in outdoors, which I can understand. Justin should have an SX only deal I guess. I just don't get why people would say he's a waste of talent, maybe because he hasn't won or podiumed 450s after saying he wanted to be a 450 guy?

Not cool, some of yall. Everybody is different and it looks like people want to chastise Hill for not being like someone else.

Yeah it’s weird. The guy raced less than 2 years ago in a SX and did well. He got a top 5 on a non factory bike. He was not the top in the series though. Mookie was his teammate and finished 6th I think overall.

Regardless the guy finished top 10 on seven different occasions with two 6’s and 5th!

That’s speed.

I think he got hurt. Can't remember for sure.
IIRC, there was a pre season crash and Justin wasn’t happy with the bike/team and never returned.

Oh good catch! I completely forgot Mookie was his teammate in 2020, I was thinking he was already on Star.

Again, comparing a guy who took a year off to get a career for life and have a baby with his long time partner to people who did jail time and rehab stints only makes you look like the loser.

He got injured for five seconds, then was at war with his team and quit on yet another team that’s the truth. It’s just so hard riding a dirtbike for a living I guess lol

It is very hard to ride a dirt bike for a living. The problem is this forum is filled with people who don’t understand that.

Last time he lined up (2020) he got 10th overall in the championship. I think he's good enough for a ride still, no? If he wants to ride and also gets support, I'd rather cheer for him instead of saying how wasted his talent is. Hope he has a good pre-season and doesn't get hurt before!

Nothing bad to say here….. I agree with most he is super talented, however everyone has been racing and getting faster while he hasn’t. Best of luck

Still remember that 450 night in tampa…..Dang it musquin, what could of been. Hope Justin all the best if he wants to give it another shot. If not I’m pretty sure most pro riders would love to have his accolades.

I think a lot of you will be eating crow this year if he stays healthy. I see a solid guy trying to stack some money for his family. He has been teaching riding schools on the regular here and helping with the development of the moto track down south and raced several rounds of hillclimb recently.

Yea bc a guy that was trying tobe in law enforcement would steal a bike. That “rumor” is false.

I just hope he’s back, odds are against it happening, but it will be great if he is.The sport is better with him and his brother heathy and competing. To lump him in with those other ass clowns such as Izzy, Stoupe, and Jlaw is just distasteful.

You can’t teach speed.

He has it.

If he chooses to put the work in. He will be a top 10 guy. 27 isn’t old.
