wow, what a post.

I own an EX Alessi mini four-stroke. Yamaha and BBR built a TTR125 with 150 big bore, BBR swingarm, PC exhaust, and YZ85 suspension. Alessi raced it and won a title in Texas when he was racing for Yamaha.

Lol it’s crazy how expensive these new bikes are now. Even crazier I am selling the old classics for what I am. It’s definetly outta hand lol, I remember buying my first kx80 in 1999 for 2200$ off the floor at Kawi shop by me, thought it was outrageous for an 80 and my dad was griping all the way home 😂

Scary how the prices have changed I remember being a young teen sitting on bikes at the dealership in early 2000 and cr85 expert was 3800 new and new cr125 or rm was under 5 like 4600 or 4800 and now paying over 14k for a husky or ktm . I loved going in and seeing those 2000 2001 cr85 the red orange plastic fenders looked so cool something about those Hondas I won’t forget just the plastics look so cool I always remember that

I distinctly remember reading a story about this, may have been MXA back in the day.

I had just gotten my first bike, an XR80, picked up some magazines from the grocery store that had amateur results in it, looked up what class I would be in for my age group, saw Davi Millsaps had won, and declared him my rival that day. Shortly after I remember reading the story about the race and bikes in question and thought it was cool as hell, the memory has stuck with me since.

Thank you Jeff. Hopefully the OP can put his tail between his legs and shut his mouth.
Yet you got lost at the XR100 statement, nobody knows everything. Seems an interesting topic even if things are exaggerated or mis quoted, OP seemed to just post what he thought was a cool deal, and the vital cool kids blast him.
Chill and enjoy tonites race.

I’d love to see said bike. Is there not any pics of it? I remember the Allesi 85 bike claim thread some years back. I think someone bought the bike & had it in their collection or something like that..

Nice, can’t wait to see it!

On another note it would be pretty cool if some of the other pros minibikes showed up. I can’t recall seeing any on here besides Mike’s.

They even ran indoor stadium pit bike races back then 50cc.75,100,125,150 classes. Two brother racing and BBR were building 10k,15k full mod pit bikes back then. The whole thing died off by 2008 2010. It’s picking back up a little but nothing like how it was in the early and mid 2000s

Ok first off, Kmiller quit calling people names, that doesn’t help anyone believe you.

Second of all, Kmiller IS correct. There was a one off pitbike class that Davi and Mike raced each other in that I saw in 2003 at Lake Whitney. I remember one of their bikes was more trick than the other and they weren’t able to battle.

I don’t know if it was raced at Mosier or Ponca etc. but I know for a fact it happened at Whitney that year.

Only proof I’ve found so far is in this video.

Skip to 2:20, Davi doing wheelie on his said “pit bike”.

Awesome video

You also are dead wrong and should not comment. This is not about mikes super mini claimed at Loretta’s, it was a mini four stroke built for a new class in early 2000s. Please if you are unaware of the subject stfu. You’re not helping nor do we need u in this convo. Read some of the other comments from people that actual remember what I’m talking about. No one is flour chasing or trying to cash in. Idc if it ever sales, just want them to know it’s available

There was a class for a few years with built mini bikes. DRZ’s, CRFX, TTR, etc….Blake Wharton, Alessi, Millsaps, all of them raced it. It wasn’t a mini class, it was an open class raced on suped up 4 stroke pit bikes

And don’t come in here like a tough guy telling people to watch their mouths, and especially when YOU are the one running on bad info
Chill down? So telling someone that’s been cussing several people in here up one side and down the other to watch their mouth means someone is heated? This bike was not “claimed” as it was a goof off class. If there was ever such a bike “claimed” all of us would have heard of it. It definitely was not a race at LL’s. It probably was treated in the manner that pitbike races are treated today at the local racing scene. So I don’t feel I really misspoke as this bike is being made out to be more than the thread title and post hyped it up to be. As Jeff Alessi has commented saying the bike “was not claimed” or even some super trick bike.

The fully modded Honda's were over 20K ! The Brown brothers used to come down with a good 10 - 15 bikes and a big group of people and run our indoor track a couple times a year. I got the pleasure of riding a couple of them. I also rode a very trick perimeter framed Yamaha TTR 125 ( Bored to 150 ) and it was really sweet as well.

I think Bob Langin got new neighbors over the years and they finally complained about the noise.
Basically neighbors ganging up on him over the noise with complaints to the city or county.
So they stopped the racing/parties.

Never said it was claimed and never cussed either. I defended my self from the goons that attacked me. You also claimed this wasn’t even a class so I doubt when you say “we would all know about it” you would have any idea because you didn’t and discredited me for knowing so. Also Davi, whartons, seely, bisceglia, etc racing this class would hardly have been a goof off class, as it was a class in the event at several nationals. Pay attention and read and you’d know this. Also Jeff said “it was long ago but I remember some of it”. You did this to yourself. And now you’re acting like an attacked liberal that can’t admit you were wrong. All of my introduction comment completely said this is what I was told as he remembered it… you attacked that. I defended it, as I should and now as we know because I was right. It’s ok I’d rather waste zero more energy on such a sore loser

These bikes were a big craze in Texas anywhere from 95 to 2005. Yz 85 frames or Cr frames were big with modified xr 100 motors. When the ttr 125 came out it went to another level with BBR building parts for them. Had a friend that had one built by BBR from the ground up for like 8k. Trick bikes but when the crf 150 came out that was it.

Did say it was claimed because that how he remembered it… read my god! I didn’t say these are all facts, I clearly said how he remembers it. And as I was told, to my knowledge he still is saying it was bought after a protest. I’m transferring his statements. Apparently a family named the vanways (don’t know if that’s the correct spelling) are the ones who protested and purchased it. None of this has been false, just as I was told and that’s the point of the post to get to the bottom of the whole thing.
