If it ties is it by overalls or by motos for the tie breaker? If they got 1-2 to 2-1 Sexton will lose the championship from the penalty when he should be tied and has more overalls

If they tie next weekend like they did today Eli wins it by one point. If Eli wins one moto Sexton has to win the other one and Eli has to finish worse than second. There won't be a championship tie if they trade moto wins and go 1-2.

Didn't really get your question the first time lol.. But hypothetically:

Section 2.19 Championship Points:

b. In the event of a tie for the championship, the winner will be
determined based on the number of race wins during the series. If
the tie remains, the number of finishes of second, third, etc., will be
tallied until the tie is broken. If the tie continues to remain, the final
moto finish at the last event will determine the champion.

Holy shit what a battle. The level that Tomac and Sexton have pushed each other to is insane. They've reached a new level of speed and the entire 450 field is faster as a result. This is what happened when Herlings moved up to MX1. He brought a new level of speed into the class, which forced Cairoli and the rest of the class to ride at a higher level.

Eli has become Mr. Moto One now compared to earlier in the year when he was Mr. Moto Two. Chase is stronger.

Based on the trend, he has to beat Chase in moto one at Pala. I think he can do it but not sure he will. As JS7 said a while back, Chase is willing to ride beyond his limits...I don't think Eli is anymore but we will see. Youth!

Moto wins are used to separate a tie.

As an aside, any scenario where they end up tied would require another rider to beat one of these two in at least one moto.

Ryder is capable of running top 5 hes hurt but needs about a lap morte in endurance
