It’s one thing if a legit B rider is “discovered” and given a shot at the big leagues (a la Dungey), but for a rider on a program already like Deegan, he either isn’t ready for the big show, or is ready and had no business being B, no matter what bike he’s riding.
Bottom line, there is a rule, kid exercised it, kid was denied due to corporate strong-arm tactics.
Those are the only facts that matter.
The hate aimed at Ping can be traced to the political poison society is drunk on these days.
All of this activity falls under the responsibility of the rider.
As for those saying a 17 y/o kid should “man up” & all that? Well, it seems to me he did man up…& then was manipulated… BY ADULTS…into withdrawing his claim.
Aren’t those the legal definitions in this situation…?
After seeing all the information and interviews that ML has created(Nice!)…& re-listening to Pulp…there IS a whole lot of “bowing down” and ass covering going on…& it’s down-right embarrassing. If I’m totally honest, I can understand some of it…But, that doesn’t mean I like it. Interviewing, with kid-gloves, a representative from a company that you get a check from…well…we all know what we heard…
Yup. This is damn shitty and I’m of the same opinion that I had after listening to the kid’s 1st interview: I’m pretty damn disappointed in quite a few adults. There’s that word again…

I’m not canceling any subscriptions. I’m not taking my Yamaha out in to yard and torching it. I’m not gonna stop listening to any of these people or their shoes/pod-casts…etc. I’m. Ot gonna piss on the Deegans on social media or any of that.
But, I AM gonna pay very close attention to what the AMA/MX Sports does with these matters going forward. From now on, that bike needs to go to impound and the matter needs to be over as soon as the paperwork is signed.
Furthermore, the Claiming Rule needs it’s own recognition clause on the LL’s entry requiring a signature (a separate sig just for that clause) to establish that EVERYONE knows their bike is “up for grabs”.
I’m jus’ sayin’…

Lotta good attorneys in the world doing good things. Child adoptions, family law, wills/trusts (protecting your wealth from the gov), patent law....and many more. I personally know numerous attorneys who are the most ethical people you can find.
People hate attorneys until they need one to save their ass.
That....and you only hear about the scumbag ones.
