Brennan Schofield interview about his Deegan bike claim!

Looks like Walker’s involvement was repaying a favor to Cotter. Second probably trying to look good to Yamaha and lastly staying in good graces with the Deegans.

So they (Yamaha) basically threatened to end Brennan’s sponsorship deal and stop supplying the shop that sponsors him with Yamahas. Wild. What are all these kids with crazy modded bikes gonna do when we all switch to electric?!

Truer words... .

No way was that bike ever going back home with Brennan. Never. They would have kept upping the "reason" to undo the deal. Star is probably saying how they cant believe Brennon folded so EZ. If the "2 engine/ride day" reason would have been turned down, they would have kept upping the offers till they got the bike back. Hate to say they folded way way too early and got essentially zip
Plus doesnt have bikes to pit those engines in. Im not certain that deal is still available either

I've got nothing to add...but this story compelled me to log into this forum for the first time in years (at least it feels that way).

Apparently, there are people who think where the money comes from matters in some way.

I really wish I could go back in time and read the Mototalk thread on Alessi’s claim in 03. Had to be equally as nutty

It works for me hosted here on Vital. If I try to watch it (or anything directly on IG) I get a blank page. I've tried 3 different browsers and clearing cache. Had the same problem with "Social Scoop" this morning.

Never had issues before.

...but anyway. Mad respect to GL and Ping for calling it out like that.

Though, they didn't slam Yamaha directly.

Yamaha had better get their legal time involved ASAP and do some digging because there's likely some shit that they don't want to come out during the "discovery process". I've had to live through the discovery process in business and nothing will get past it. They will look at cell phone records, text messages, phone call records, emails, interview dealership managers and employees, telephone records, etc. All of it comes out in court and it will be blatantly obvious who's lying and who's telling the truth. The truth always comes out in situations like this if it goes down the legal path.

If what Brennan said is accurate (which should easy to verify), heads need to roll on the Yamaha side. Its disgusting, frankly. Fuck Yamaha. As for the Deegan's, I'll never support any manufacturer he rides for.

Sure maybe the kid can win a lawsuit and some money, but even if he does he will still be black balled by the industry. Also, dont think Yamaha cant get the dealership to lie, cotter, deegan, etc.

Regardless if the story is 100% true or not tthe kid is the big loser. I would consider helping sponsor him though. Hopefully all sponsors wont drop him and new sponsors wont be afraid to take him on.

Who were his sponsors? Any official word from sponsors to him on why he was dropped? It is not like he didn’t follow the rule to a T. If so, it is a shame that he dropped the claim to protect his sponsors only to have them screw his over afterwards.

Too bad the factories don’t consider it a badge of honor for their bikes to be claimed. Could you imagine one factory bragging to another that ALL of their Loretta’s bikes were claimed but the others weren’t!

Luce is claiming on Pulp right now that he offered Brennan the two Yamaha blu cru engines even when he thought Brennan was getting the bike.

Yeah…. OK. You were sitting there at Matt Walker’s trailer speaking about the claim and despite your supposition that he was going through with the claim, still offered two crate motors? This wasn’t a gift in kind for anything? Just out of the goodness of your heart for a mid-pack B guy? Even if the kid left the ranch with the Star bike? BOLD CLAIM

Star Yamaha should make Brennan a factory rider for a day. Give him a mechanic for a few practices to set the bike up for him and let him ride their full spec bike at mini o’s

Yes I agree, but the twist is he shows up and ghosts them. Then proceeds to unload a PC Kawi.

I guess if you look at it the way everyone was originally thinking it went then yeah doesn’t make sense. I believe the entire story is getting exaggerated on both sides though.
