Ponyboy is gonna wreck himself eventually riding over his head and Eli knows it. But props to Chase for bringing it, good luck to everyone outdoors next year.

6 motos to go, chase is 1 point up.

Chase most likely goes 1-1 at Pala. That gives Eli 4 motos To make up 7 points. If he wins 3/4 and gets a 2nd, that’s 9, unless chase wins the 4th (which we know only one of them will win). So assuming chase is going to go 1-1 at Pala, Eli HAS to win the next 4 motos. It will be tough, but not impossible for the #3.

But I’ll tell you one thing, the fans are the ultimate winners. What a fucking battle.

IMO the torch has been passed. How many times did McGrath beat RC after RC finally beat him? Taking 9 2nds in a row and finally getting the win straight up and now winning the last 3 motos in row straight up.. Sexton knows he has Eli covered and that confidence is a hell of a drug. I wouldn’t be surprised if Sextons wins out

I’m not there yet with the passing of the torch, Eli never does well at that track..
It’s a damn exciting series though!

Not so certain Pala is an AW for Chase. Tomac is hot and cold there. 1-1, 1-4, 9-8, 2-1, 7-4. Track looks very similar to what he rides at home. Tomac can 2-1 the next 3 and lose the title with 13 moto wins, 7 overalls, and 549 points…

Yup Chase has had some wild getoffs this summer riding over his head

I’ve done a a real deep dive analysis on historical statistics to try and figure out how this championship will play out. Statistically, if Eli loses this championship then there is a VERY high probability that Chase will be the 2022 Champion. Conversely, if Eli wins the championship, then mathematically Chase has 0% chance at winning it and will most likely finish 2nd in points. Statistics also show with 100% certainty that whoever finishes with the most points will be crowned the 2022 Champion. It’s all about the numbers.

We havent seen eli beast mode much. I was at red bud. looked to me like he was just cruising and riding smooth to conserve for moto 2. Either way Eli is on the ropes unless he can turn it up.

I said Eli was in complete control after his 7th in a row... But I think the 23 is going to win 4 of the final 6 now and the title. He's got the confidence and right now Eli's saying Chase had too much for me this weekend....

If Jett wraps it up at Ironman does he ride a 450 at Pala to help out Sexton?

I'm trying to think about last summer too. Did he have any major getoffs? None stick out but my memory is shit. This isn't sx

Eli even said at Spring Creek that this was the fastest pace he ever got pushed into. Doesn't mean it's no beast mode, just because he isn't winning.

This is maybe not 2015 Tomac, but I still believe he is faster than in 17/18/19. He for sure is more consistent and also gets way better starts now. For example: His avg start in 2017 was 8.4, now in 2022 it is 3.9.

For Sexton to even be in the points lead again after the momentum Eli had just shows how great he is riding aswell. In 18 motos Chase only finished worse than second ONCE.

I think we're in for a special one this year and we fans should try to enjoy and soak in every moment, no matter the outcome, both deserve this thing.

Yesterday we may have seen Eli backing it down a hair on a track that is easy to wad at. 3 or 4 years ago he would have pushed the front end trying to keep up with Chase, take 30 seconds to get up, and end up 5th. Who here would be surprised to see Eli go 1-1 next weekend?? This thing is coming down to the final moto. Just enjoy it! We'll be remembering this one for decades!

I got to give my vote to Chase at this point. I think it comes down to the final round and he's going to be hard to beat at Pala.

I think Chase is done with his crazy crashes. His consistency this summer is incredible.

If Eli had been better at round one he would still be in the lead. That 7th is really hurting him now.

Eli can't let Chase go 1-1 next weekend. He will be in trouble if that happens.

Some forget that Eli can be very good at Pala too.

It’s funny how everyone is waiting for Chase to crash out (including me) despite only finishing worse than 2nd once. It just doesn’t seem possible for someone to run down Tomac as fast as he’s going and flat out beat him. .

Does Dylan come back and help run some interference for Eli?

He’s going to have to get up to speed…. He got smoked yesterday.

It’s more likely that Jett locks up the 250 title at Ironman and runs interference for Chase at Pala.

Dylan is not at 100% yet with his thumb. He said he's not going to push for wins just yet. Maybe by Ironman or Pala.

I'm just happy he's back out there.

I don't see Jett beating Tomac.

I agree, I don't see Jett coming close to Tomac at any point until Tomac calls it on his own terms. Tomac and Sexton are the fastest guys on the planet right now IMHO. All due respect to the MXGP guys (and I mean that genuinely), but I think our guys have taken things up a couple of notches. Can't wait until the MXdN to see how that plays out. I'll gladly come back and eat crow if necessary.
