Dungey's not a gimmick. He's been in all season and is the next best American after Jason Anderson.

I don't know who rides the 250. Let them ride the bikes and check the lap times and decide themselves.

It's an unpopular opinion, but I'm with you. Tomac on the 250.

If, BIG IF, Tomac can even ride a 250 in beast mode and come thru the pack with a bike setup as perfect as his 450. THEN and only then would people get on board with this. We KNOW the Star Yamaha's have stupid horsepower, so it has to be a YZ250F bike on the gate. So its between Craig and Cooper. Cooper only if he can win most of the 4 races left. And only choose Craig if he keeps getting top 5's and Cooper is off pace.

MX1: TOMAC
MX2: CRAIG OR COOPER
MX3: SEXTON

Dungey is great under pressure. I love this video as I can imagine what I would be saying to my Mom if she was trying to calm me down in this situation. All time right here, it never gets old:

Nah. Same old status quo right there. We have a chance to send two legends and the next superstar. Cooper and Craig are not it.

Tomac and Sexton should and I'm sure will be on 450s . Why put our 2 best riders at any disadvantage ?

Craig has more points than Dungey...

Anderson is the best choice, nobody passes better than he does other than Tomac. If he's out, who's the next American on the list? Craig.

Roger is going to pick Craig, bet on it.

I do still have a soft spot for Cooper after what happened in Assen.

Only because of a mechanical on the bike Roger gave him.

It's dumb as fuck having a 450 guy ride a 250 when Cooper has just started winning Motos again. Massive disrespect to the guy from most of the people in the industry and the fans

I want Cooper on the 250 but if not then Craig if he does it solely for his country and usa mx fans. This is going to war. Leave the wife and kids out of the picture for the weekend. They can celebrate the win after the job is done. If that’s not possible then Dungey on the 250 might be our best chance.

All three are 250 champs. I say, why wouldn't you put all three of them on a 250?

Not three 250s, just one 250 for the group of 'em. Imagine a Voltron of assembled USA riders attacking you on a 250. Deal with that Estonia!

JC won ONE moto.... "started winning again" is a little pre-mature. Let's see how he does next week.

...and for the record, I'm a big JC fan.

As much as I would like to see Tomac, Sexton or Dunge on a 250, I think the smart choice is to have Cooper on it. Keep everyone on their current bike. No re learning, testing, etc. just more motos at current capacity FTW.

I know right. What we need is a National vs MXGP thread to spice things up around here. That's never been done right?

Dungey will be better than Craig by the end of the season

Dungey is 3-3 in MXDN, Lommel he got waxed (My dad was there), Barcia was the fastest the entire time he was there. He finished 5th in MX1 in Germany, Tomac was the fastest guy there. And in Latvia he finished 4th, but Tomac yet again was the fastest guy there.

I really like Dungey, but I think his strength is in the long seasons, true grit. his first 3 MXDNs were amazing (I was at 2010, also in 2018 and 2007), but the 3 following he had a guaranteed dismal moto score where people were literally asking what’s wrong with him, is he hurt, etc. Send Craig or Barcia on the 250, hell if Cooper keeps it up send him.

Why the heck would anyone rather see Craig or cooper over sending dungey Tomac and Sexton is crazy. It’s a pretty much an exhibition race so send the big hitters and see what Pans out. Coop and Craig can wait till Next year if they show the speed.

The last 250 Dungey rode had a carburetor...Just to help you guys remember how long it's been.
