Consider for a moment possibly you're the problem at this point. I was lucky I waited until Southwick to sign up on Flo so avoided the MavTV issues. I have watched the last three races on my PC without a hitch and the 2nd 450 moto was one of the best races I have watched in years.

Live Timing to keep track of the racing this season? Yeah right.

Yup totally my fault that flo froze to a black screen and I missed the start and most of the first lap of the first 250 moto. Or that the audio didn’t match up with the first 450 interviews. Definitely my fault that they had “no signal input” across the screen for part of the 250 second moto.

I never had an issue with the MavTV plus app and haven't had one with the FloRacing app either.

Totally your fault dude. What were you thinking anyway?

According to MAVTV, fans are getting “the coverage they deserve” this year. So apparently we’ve been real naughty or something.

I had the same issue for 250 moto 1 start. But dude you’re making a mountain out of a mole hill.

I haven’t had the audio issue but usually restarting the app takes care of that. Sometimes it’s as simple as pause and restarting.

The stream quality for me was down a bit this week but I think it’s because of all the trees as washougal it’s hard to get a clean signal out of there.

Be careful, that statement will bring out the pitchforks around here.

BTW...neither did I.

Yes completely my fault for signing up for that piece of shit app!

Piss poor quality
Black screens
Audio issues
Frozen screens

I too signed up for Flo last week and last weeks was just poor video quality, yesterday 10 steps backwards but hey I’m a dumbass anyway so you were half wrong.

I signed up for flo yesterday. The picture quality is pretty bad and the whole “no signal input” thing happened to me too, they’ve got work to do to get it as good as peacock was but it’s better than MAVTV was at least!

You might edit out that 5 letter word or you may not be able to post for awhile. I don’t care but I am aware it is on the do not mention list as it tends to get things started down a ugly path. Have a great day 👍

I noticed with flo the picture quality was not very good and the audio had issues. I had better sounds and picture quality with the MavTV app (when it worked). I did check youtube, there were quite a few streamers, it seemed like the better quality streams were of the actual Mav TV channel.

I am very technically inclined. I am not the problem. I have a high tech mesh wifi system that has no issue streaming 4k on 15 devices at the same time. No, sir. I am not the problem. Coombs trying to get a profitable contract on the cheap is the problem.

Quality is always down at washougal. Hard to get a good signal out of there with all the trees.

This has nothing to do with me on my end, technically speaking. And it happened a dozen times. I missed the 1st 250 Moto gate drop because of it. I pay to see those gate drops. The problem is not users.

Yup. It's my fault there are commercials in the middle of the racing. Not to mention, It's me that puts the holeshot replay and other content over the racing.

What is wrong with me. I suck.

Dry

For the record...and for the above reasons. I won't pay for the service. I'm even watching the lower-res bootleg Youtbube uploads after the live racing ends. Much happier that I can just FF thru the bullshit.

Mine just jumped every few seconds. The audio was fine though. It was hard to watch. I tried streaming from other services just to check that it wasn't my Internet and they all worked great. Went back to flow to watch the races and same problem. 🤷‍♀️. Maybe it's me, but don't have any issues with any other platforms we use.

I was just responding to the OP. I was actually working on my car at the time, but I like to watch the start and the last few minutes of the race while still listening to it while I work.

Way to stay on topic with your MavTV complaints and production criticisms when neither pertain to Flo streaming technical issues.

I had the same hiccups others mention but like soggy posted, Washougal is a wireless communications challenge. Even with the hiccups I was glued to the coverage of the 2nd 450 moto and feel like I definitely got my money's worth seeing an instant classic. Guess what is bugging me the most is the perpetual glass half empty/entitled vibe from some members. To be fair to those members, I am in my late 60s maybe the DGAF component that comes with aging has me accepting of what's gone down this season.

Bottom line I will take today's coverage even over the dream team David Bailey and Art Eckman one hour per class coverage a week or so later we got on ESPN. And that's sayig a lot..

It is strange. Honestly.

This didn’t happen to a lot of others. I watched all 4 motos with no problems. I was watching on an iPad, driving. No issues.

I watched the replay and had those issues so it's weird that others didn't get them

Wired vs wireless can make a difference for reasons that are beyond my comprehension but have had success in the past for other applications after eliminating wireless. Not always an option but worth a cable and a minute if it is.

Anyone on a wired (from a router or modem) connection still having issues? I am on a wireless connection to the ATT modem on the other side of the house with no issues.

I was on Wi-Fi on my iPhone and had the issues.

I think it needs to be mentioned there are very separate and different complaints about the streaming/broadcast that get lumped together.
I have actually never had a problem with the stream dropping on any platform this year, maybe I'm "lucky?"
However, I think even people like me are losing patience because of the absolute failure on the production side.
Compounding this issue is the complete lack of admission on the side of DC that there is even an issue with the production. "Bondo is great because he's been doing it forever" is NOT acceptable at this point.
Just be honest with us. Is the only way an advertiser paying for ad space is if you promise a slot with two minutes to go in the second 450 moto? Is our sport THAT bad right now?
Or is it just a terrible production decision?
WE DON'T KNOW, because nobody will ask more questions after Bondo gets praised.
You don't have to be disrespectful about it either, it's not a difficult question to form...
"DC, I know you've addressed the production issues before and have pointed to split second decisions being made with limited information, but there is an undeniable issue with key moments being missed constantly. Can you please address why a change hasn't been made?"
"DC, we've never had mid moto breaks for ads or features before, why the change this year and is there consideration being made to move those things so we don't miss the actual racing?"

Sorry man....It's the whole package. Production and quality. It BLOWs.

But to stay "on topic"...you are blanket belittling people for their "technical skills" when that is not the case...sure there are some that struggle with technology.

The streaming glitches....to the billing issues. it's a train wreck.

Bro, just stop. Why are you carrying the water for DC and MX Sports on this issue?

The streaming service sucks.

Stop trying to explain wireless vs wired connections like we are all idiots.

MavTv sucked. Flo is slightly better but still garbage.

The replay for quali this week was basically unwatchable with the refresh rate being screwed up, this was on mobile and firestick. 250 Moto 1 had the same quality issues along with missing the holeshot. Ads with split screen replays of things you've already seen, mis-matched audio and the no input single issue made this week extra frustrating.

Youtube/Netflix can stream 1080p 60fps with a 3-4mb/s line, todays WiFi routers easily do 10x the needed speed, most modern even 100x.

Doesnt matter what's on receiving end.

Don't confuse the overlayed graphics with the actual bitrate from the cameras. It's highly compressed and garbage.

I also get crisp 720p leaderboard/graphics but the camera stream is crap and that has nothing to do with the end customer.

How was the last 5 laps of that second 450 moto? I mean you must have seen ALL the laps to know it was the best race in years.
Must have been on that VIP streaming package DC talked about. You know, the one we were promised wouldn't have ads. Since we are already paying for it.
Or maybe you're talking about that second 450 moto start, because we were shown that about 5 times.

Even if the stream works flawlessly, the balance of the complaints are valid because of the absolute failure of production this year. When you fail at one thing badly enough, your other "wins" get yanked back a bit.

Your opinion is your opinion and you're welcome to have it, just stop trying to say EVERYONE else is wrong for not agreeing with you.

I'll get off your lawn now.
